Flipping burgers makes you more successful than someone who will end up being an actuary? Got it. -

Being a actuary sucks as a profession however. I couldn't take all the travel and stress. I'd rather continue on my software developer path and telecommute. However, the course requirements are truly interesting between the math, business, and sciences. -

Don't presume too much: being an actuary won't happen until you're 30, if you decide to stick to that path. Most of my friends who chose actuarial science have not reached fellowship and have decided they won't try to. -

Frankly actuarial science is rather stress-free and does not require much travel. It's pretty much a cookie-cutter "brown socks" job. -

Travel? You do the same thing an accountant do, but you pretty much make a ton more. Math acts as a catalyst to me, it always gets me thinking. Even when I'm walking, I think about math constantly. I enjoy how Math can be applied to everything we do, which is why I pursue to being an Actuary.Don't presume too much: being an actuary won't happen until you're 30, if you decide to stick to that path. I've been wanting to be an Actuary since late junior high, and there are also two other Actuaries in my family. They started their profession in their mid 20s. -

Really? One of my close friends is in actuary and travels constantly. I guess it depends on who you work for. As far as stress, it is subjective.
@Taey:
A large amount of accountants start as audits which does require a large amount of travel. My roommate is currently auditing a year out of college. -

It has less stress than most other jobs in the financial sector and much less than any sort of management position. Of course, YMMV but, as a general rule, accountants/actuaries/analysts of any kind will normally not have too much stress, as long as they understand their subject matter well. -

Where do you live? Most of the people who graduate and pass their CPA at my school get a pretty steady job in decently large companies. -

According to Wikipedia, "In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion."
Your responses to his posts would fall under the "inflammatory" category.taeyeoNNNNNN wrote: »Travel? You do the same thing an accountant do, but you pretty much make a ton more. If you love Math and Science, you might want to think about being an engineer of some sort. I am getting my E.E. degree and have found it to be quite interesting, also, on the plus side, you make a lot of money as an engineer as well. -
@fam0us
E.E is very interesting. Granted, I always found it a bit boring and easy. My ex is studying E.E and I would sit down and do her work. It is relatively similar to CS, at least regarding the use of booleans. It just sounds much better when someone ask you what you do. "O yea I write software" is much more boring than "I create circuits and chip sets to revolutionize modern technology" -

Wikipedia is a joke. I am not a huge fan of science, nor do I want to be an Engineer. I find it slightly harder to keep your job and also harder to ascend to a higher position. I also plan to take over the family business in later years so I see business majors to be required for me. -

wow big nerd. -
OT: There are plenty of good AK users. From the players that I personally have played with, I believe that some players from Hammertime or HRG have a pretty solid handling on the AK. Just to name a few, Harvey, mav, brando... I mean there are plenty of people who can use the AK but I wouldn't ever consider any player the "best".

You know why AK users could use scotch tape. I don't.
You're better at this game than I am, I'm sure.
You act as if that somehow lends you superiority, enough so that you can start flaming me for asking a simple question.
I'm not going to play your game; don't answer my question if you don't want to. No need to act so juvenile, though.
Don't bother with that kid. He has 3000 posts, some chibi asian hentai looking avatar and is actually bad at the game.
