Headset?

So I recently ordered a TurtleBeach EarForce x12 headset for 60 bucks and was wondering if I made the right choice. Prior to this, I was using Plantronics GameCom OverEar headset which I picked up for around 20 bucks.

Should I have gotten a different headset, because I heard that TurtleBeach's were overrated and overpriced

Not sure, you don't need a Turtle Beach for this game though.. Any $30 headset will do.

any $30 headset will do? I have both $100 and $2 earphones and they both work just as good for crossfire

A 20$ headset should be the cheapest and best choice.

I am going to buy a Razer Electra in the future. I was told it was about the same as beats. It's only $50.

That's basically my point, I at least need some good quailty for watching videos/music apart from CF.

Sony is good
Beyerdynamic is good

Beats by Dre is bad. Beads by Dre are like macs. They are not only bad but they are also expensive.
TurtleBeach is bad.
Razer headphones are bad.

They make those products for people who have no clue but a lot of money.

Thanks for the info. I was debating to get Sennheiser's too. Maybe I'll pick em up in the future. c:

I have steelseries Siberia V2 and they are EPIC!! They cost 50$ but they are worth it 10 times over! The sound is epic and I love em!

I bought Turtle Beach PX5's cos I use em for sim racing - they are excellent and extremely practical - highly recommended!

8 preset 'mixes' for different sound balances or you can make your own.

You can pretty much hear someone pick their nose from one side of eagle to the other - with spatial information over and above the simple left right that most systems offer.

Plus - dontcha get annoyed with headphone wires, they tangle, twist etc..

there pretty good, i uses x11 and i can still hear good. but if it was my choice i would of order siberias v2 for an extra 20$... i think there one of the best headsets out there...

uhh they dnt cost 50$ there like 80-100 depends whichs one you get. and i know the v2's are around 80

I guess you guys don't know how Headphones work if you really say that those are needed for crossfire.

A expensive Headphone sounds better, but it is not louder or clearer then others. It really doesn't matter if you hear the ghost breathe in high quality or low quality, all that counts is that you hear it and you can hear it with both a $5 headphone or a $75.

I own different Headphones, from Sony, Pioneer and Philips and one from Roccat and I also had some Sennheisers.

Sennheiser exist since 1945 and they have a lot of experience in this things. Also they make headphones for professional music and movie studios. Same goes for Sony, they make headphones for music and movie studios because their sounds are so clear you can hear every mistake. You can do this with every other headphone too, this are common things you can do with every headphone.

This is all about the sound, when you turn the sounds really high then you can hear them with other headphones too. Headphones don't add their own sounds to your game, all they do is to play the sounds that is already there. You cannot tell if someone is above you by the sounds, this doesn't works in crossfire.

Sennheiser and Sony has wireless headphones too but they are not sold that much because wireless headphones are not as good as normal headphones.
