It's not about the ribbon, you could create a new account right now and you will still be able to participate.
Your account creation date doesn't matter, what matters is that you haven't been banned for 1 year.(as SAIDIN clearly said above) -

No, you can still get the prizes if your account is less than 1 year old, but you can't get the prizes if your account has been banned in the past year.
Simply, if your account is less than 1 year old and you got banned before you can't get the prizes. -

Play 12 hours and you'll get the gold prize and the ribbon but the 15 events must be completed.
Or you can play 9 hours and you'll get the silver prize if 10 events have been completed.
Or better yet play 6 hours and you'll get the bronze prize if only 5 events have been completed.
I'm not guessing or making up all this, it's all written clearly in the thread. -

How to know the last time i was banned in?
^ nvm, turns out to be the event page tells you when you got banned.
Apparently i got banned on August 23rd, November 3rd, November 5th and December 4th.
But i'm not sad for not participating in the summer games, cuz i already know that the 15 events will not all be completed.
(( and I have 19 ribon but........... 
gl u others wait if u pplay 15 hrs u get the ribbon and its 16 days sweet awesome
