Last cast was unwatchable.
If you have a wal-mart computer or a dial up connection DO NOT try to cast.
I think it was due to the massive influx of the 500+ people trying to watch.
Gex never had this problem before casting with about 20-50 viewers. -

Doesn't matter, that is not how it works.
Here, I've drawn an explanation of how it works:
The broadcaster sends the feed to the Twitch.tv servers in which they use their premium datacenter connection to redistribute it to the users watching it.
There is no way his connection can support over 5 people if the users were each having their own individual connection to him.
A standard 480p stream takes ~185 kB/s
Take for example 20 users were watching the stream;
20 users x 185 kB/s = 3.7MB/s (Residential uploads from Comcast/RoadaRunner/Bell/Telus, etc go up to about 10MBps or 1.0 MB/s max.)
The Twitch.tv server was fully functional at the time of the broadcast as the ping (ICMP) did not spike/move from a stable network connection and other streams on the same twitch server worked fine meaning it would have to be an issue with the broadcasters connection/computer or the streaming configuration. -
