  • Alright guys calm down.

    Here's my opinion:

As much as you guys are yelling at Obama about gun restrictions and what not, I haven't seen anything from the guy doing anything about militarism or gun control. If anything he is embracing it. The guy does more covert operations and increased the budget for that portion of the Pentagon more than the last president and thats saying alot considering hes a democrat. I know Fox noise has been screaming about the fear that Obama will touch gun laws but the reality is that it won't go. His whole legacy is based on Healthcare and he isn't going to fck that up by trying to touch guns. You guys are way to paranoid and need to think on a more manipulative scale. The United States of Amnesia is easily distracted by hot topic words like "firearm restrictions" and so presidents won't touch them. Same thing goes with Medicare, Medicaid, etc.

As far as gun control I think there should be more restrictions but not on the guns itself. I think it should be restricted to certain groups of society. Police of course, and then educated individuals which are but not limited to: academia, gun trainers, hunters, historians/collectors, and rich individuals. Either that, or no guns at all except for the privledged. Sorry, but people don't deserve guns. Idc what you say about freedom and all this other crap. I don't want my stupid neighbor who doesn't read current times and is ignorant to be wielding a weapon that could put me in danger.

And yeah, getting guns and firing them is fun as hell. But I don't think my fun is worth somone's innocent life. Especially because I opened up the gate to some dumbass. By this I mean strictly guns that are meant to be for fun (aka your full auto, or your high tech no recoil shotguns and what not.) These guns aren't used for hunting, and are completly inpractical for trap shooting. Lets face it, these guns can't be for the general public and should strictly be limited to certain groups of people.

Also I don't think poor people deserve fire arms. Why would they need it? They have no money to protect, and guns cost cash anyway (they can spend their money on more useful items). Hopefully this changes in the future.

    I agree.

I do get what you're saying, it is hard to throw yourself in that situation and expect to be 100% calm etc, but honestly if innocent people were dying in front of you i would not even think twice to defend them if i could. Taking another person's life is a hard thing to swallow even if it was in self defense, but there is always the option of defensive shots which take a lot of practice, it took me 3-4 years just to learn how to quick draw and hit 5 targets within 3 seconds. It is tough to say that someone could have stopped this guy if they did have a weapon, body armor/darkness/smoke/shooter skill etc, but it would have been better than nothing though. Also 99% of the time if there are witnesses, you won't be seen as an accomplice.

of course depends on the situation. must`ve been horrible in that cinema with all that teargas and panic.

I agree that making guns illegal or harder to get would increase the demand and illegal purchases. obama will not touch the gun law.

If there will be changes, they have to be made carefully as a part of a long process. making people re-think, shoot their TVs and refuse to take the Propaganda they are being fed.
This would take many, many generations, obviously. worth it? I think so.
