there is simply no best player, everyone has their weaknesses, Malte may be an ak beast, but i don't think he can snipe, point proven, the best player would be someone that is an all around threat, not just a specialty. and a true players skill is shown through teamwork, it all depends who you are around, and what you do when those people are around that make you a true pro.
Most of the good players in this game can use both a rifle and an awm. What gun they use often depends on where they are playing in the map, what their role is, and who they are playing with. When Area 51 played back in open beta, everyone had two bags for the most part, one with a rifle and one with an awp. Depending on what we were doing we chose different equipment.
Aim is only one part of a players skill. You can get tons of kills and only have decent aim. Communication is probably the most important skill. You need to be able to not only relay what you see to your teams, you also need to be able to motivate (keeping the overall attitude positive), give your opinions of what the other team is doing to the in game leader (best done through chat), and take charge of developing the plan in late round low man situations (1v2 2v3 3v2 etc).
Another big factor is gamesense. This is the intangible. Unlike aim and communication which you can practice to make better, gamesense is all mental. Predicting what the other team is going to do is just the beginning. You need to be able to also predict what they are predicting you to do and do the opposite or play to how they are going to play you. For the most part gamesense is what leads to certain players always clutching. The only way to develop gamesense is to play very often, and pick up on tendencies of players in crossfire.
Overall what makes a good player good is the fact that they do their best to mask what they are weak at. If the other team can't find a flaw in a players playstyle they have no way to exploit it. This is why variation is key.

Yeah i agree with doop, its all about the players gamesense, how they react to the other teams play style and how they play according, being able to clutch is just the beginning, you have to predict where the enemy is going to go before he even knows, hence why some people think i cham, rofl but having good aim helps ALOT
