GP Seasonal Crates
in Suggestions
My suggestion is that they should have GP Seasonal crates alongside the normal ZP crates during seasonal patches. This way GP players also have things so spend on during those patches.
I was thinking that the old temporary seasonal guns should be placed in GP crates as permanent weapons. For example, the XM8-Spring could be used for a March or April patch along with the usual ZP crate, the M4-Xmas for a Christmas patch, and the M4-Hallo for a Halloween patch. This way players don't complain that their cool limited ZP guns can now be obtained by GP players, and players who like(d) those weapons can now get them permanently.

What's the point of M4-Xmas and M4-Hallo? They are the same as the original M4 but just with a new skin. Most CF players already have the M4, and if they don't they can just purchase it for 43000 gp from the item shop. -

That's like asking why people would get the AWM Gold when they already have the Camo or the RD. It's simply for gun collection, and to show off.
Also, I should tell you that those were just examples. There are plenty of other temporary holiday items, such as the hats you could purchase in the item shop, old GP crate hats, etc. Just something that GP players can also get during the limited patches. -

Like I said, it would be past temporary items or past hats. As far as I know, they never had temporary holiday weapons that were on the verge of OPness. It would be cool if they had all new weapons for the crates, but that would clash with the ZP crates, and may affect their sales.
EDIT: Also, because these are seasonal/rare, I'm sure that tons of people will try to get it. -
Well the GP seasonal crates a while ago gave a hat. Hats don't help ingame. I don't even remember the santa hat actually giving a boost in gp/exp.
But that's not the only thing that could be in it. Past temporary weapons could also be a possibility, like I've stated several times. XM8 Spring, Glock Xmas, M4 Xmas, M4 Hallo, whatever. Just something for GP players to spend on during those patches, because as of now GP players get nothing during seasonal patches, aside from the usual content. ZP players however get limited crates that usually contain really good guns.
You also forget that there is a huge reason to get GP seasonal crates, even if they have hats: Rarity. They're an amazing way to show off, and it shows how dedicated and lucky you are, to have a seasonal weapon, GP or ZP. They also look cool, to put it simply, and in my opinion boosts aren't necessary for something of its rarity. -

Amazing idea. I would personally spend all of my GP until I won 6 M4A1 Halloweens xD. But honestly, they should at least bring back the M4A1 Halloween as a temporary GP crate during the Halloween patch. Why not bring back a really old weapon and have a chance to gain some profit from it? -

Exactly what I thought. Players will blow their GP pretty quickly, so in comes more ZP purchases so they can get another chance on the crates. It's really a win-win for everyone; Z8 gets more profit, and GP players have something to spend on. -
Ah, and yes, I'd also like to add on something. To replace the M4Xmas for a log-on reward on Xmas day, the M66,Ak Knife-Adv, or even the Axe Xmas could be used in place.
I don't recall if the M4Hallo was obtained through events or if it was bought temporarily, but if it was through events, the same could apply if Halloween events came back; M66, AK Knife-Adv for whatever event during Halloween.
I personally don't see any flaw in this idea, so hopefully this gains enough popularity that the GM take a look at it. -

Same can be said for the wcg packs, yet people spend all their gp on them -

Depends on whether this gains enough popularity and whether or not it's a good idea overall, from a player's perspective and a business perspective. Personally I think it's a decent idea that benefits both players and Z8, but this hasn't gotten too much feedback. What feedback I do have is almost all positive though, so we'll just have to see how it goes.
If it gains enough popularity, maybe the GMs will take a look at this. They definitely do care, because we've had a few suggestions from here that went through, with a good example being the Winchester Scope.
