Knew the excuses would come. You had better ping than me aside from 2 of your deaths, and I had 95 more ping than I normally do.GodsGunman wrote: »Go on and whisper me now, just got on.

It was my first game of the day too. -
It really just depends on how you play, if you're a quick scoper; then the AWM is recommended, while on the other hand, if you're an accurate long range sniper; then the M700 is fitted for your play style.
nope it doesn't the awm is always better. If you disagree then just make a video of you playing with the m700 and owning people with awm. -

its all about the person that use it.
use a m700 each day and never any other gun. (besides pistol)
then you will know whats better. then you gonna agree the m700 is better.
yes the awm is better for some things like if you got to wait for someone to come out and he still got 100hp but then it dont ask skill. even though i mostly fail at hard scoping lol. (start to think about other stuff then the game

The AWM is always better, it's obvious. Someone with an M700 can beat someone using an AWM, but the person with the M700 has to be much better than the person with the AWM, so much so that they're out of their league (to do it repetitively anyways).did do the person with the m700 allways play with it or just some times?
He said the M700 was better and he apparently used it a lot.
I can 1v1 you if you want, me with an AWM you with an M700. I bet I'll win. -
well you know i played vs people that are the same like me and i still beat them withGodsGunman wrote: »The AWM is always better, it's obvious. m700.
yes like you say it yourself 'but the person with the M700 has to be much better than the person with the AWM' so you do need more skill to use the m700 then you need for a awm. its just a fact.
also that person may be using alot of time the m700 but befor you really good with it you need to use it all the time.
well use a awm and then change to m700 you wont be that good the same if you use the m700 then awm.
ps i dont 1vs1 to boring also i didnt play that much so im not playing that good.
edit: but i would play just to see how good you are lol.
so got time today? -
Assuming 2 players of equal skill, hardware, and location. The only difference being the weapon. The Awm player would have a higher chance of winning then the M700.
The M700 requires more skill to equal or beat the AWM.
Assuming even skilled players, both with a 50% chance of getting the first shot of each encounter, the AWM would get twice or more the amount of kills.
AWM vs M700(Both aiming for body):
Round 1:
M700 shoots first, Awm user down to 20ish HP.
Awm user shoots a few micro seconds later, M700 dies.
1-0
Round 2:
Awm shoots first, M700 dies.
2-0
Round 3:
M700 shoots first, Awm dies because of only 20ish HP.
2-1
Round 4:
Awm shoots first, M700 dies.
3-1
Round 5:
M700 shoots first, Awm down to 20ish HP.
Awm shoots a few micro seconds later, M700 dies.
4-1
Round 6:
Awm shoots first, M700 dies.
5-1
Round 7:
M700 shoots first, Awm dies because of only 20ish HP.
5-2
Round 8:
Awm shoots first, M700 dies.
6-2
Round 9:
M700 shoots first, Awm down to 20ish HP.
Awm shoots a few micro seconds later, M700 dies.
7-2
Round 10:
Awm shoots first, M700 dies.
8-2
After 10 rounds Awm has 4 times more kills then M700, total scores 8-2.
If we were to repeat but assume both aim for head, the match would instead be very even with M700 missing slightly more often then AWM do to it not having 100% accuracy.
At the lower skills levels, AWM wins hands down.
At the highest skill levels they are pretty much even, so it becomes a choice of ammo and light weight vs 100% accuracy and 1 hit chest damage. -
Completely dependant on skill. I made myself use only an M700 for around two days, and was fully able to headshot every kill, and was able to get at least a 2 K/D with it, which is pretty decent (10-5, 20-10, etc.). But with the AWM there is the advantage that you can hit the biggest target on the body, the chest, and get a kill, so you don't have to go through all the practice for aiming for heads.
Like I've always said, "If you aren't that great of a sniper, you'll choose AWM over M700." I usually get flamed for saying that though, so I tend to keep it to myself. -

As I said, wasn't trying to come up with excuses, Awm is obviously better, I did kill you 5 times in a row near the end when I actually started to get used to the M700. Never doubted that Awm was better, but I still think my score would have been much better if I warmed up before. -
M700
Faster reload
Faster rof
Wallbang
More bullets
Lighter
AWM is just strongerThe AWM is a noob tube for people who can't aim. Just like the DSR-1, the R93 and the Fr-F2. If you need a rifle that does 100 damage to someone's arm, than you fail at aiming. I really don't understand why people consider themselves pro snipers, when all the do is quickscope to bypass the inaccuracy of the rifle out of scope and just blasted this overpowered cannon at an opponent. Any fool can press the Q button after each shot real quick. It doesn't take a real talent.
It takes a real talent if you can actually use the scope the way it was intended, to aim at someone's head, and do so faster than anyone else. But to use it to blasted a 100 HP damage hole into someone's arm, is just cheap. -

True that, snipers are made for hard scoping. Quick scopes are over rated and anyone can easily feel for the middle of their screen. Besides, M700 is much more fun to use. -

The point is the AWM is better, in the way that it's much easier to use and somebody that does well with an M700 should in almost every situation do even better with an AWM.
The M700 clearly takes more skill to use, but that's not what this thread was meant to state. -

Easier to use does not necessarily make it a better rifle. AWMs have ruined the average skills of snipers these days, and has turned them into kick-vote abusing QQing quickscopers, that use their rifle like a shotgun on the front line of battle, and then complain about being sprayed down by someone with a M12s or a Scar light. -
The AWM isn't better at all. It's easier to use. That is it. Like the OP has pointed out, the M700 has many more features that makes it better than the AWM. The only thing it really lacks, is the 100 HP damage to the body/arm the AWM has.
But does this make the AWM better? That's like saying the AK-47 is better than the M4A1 because it does more damage.
The AWM is an overrated noob tube that people use as a shotgun and then call themselves a pro sniper. But a true pro sniper, one that can aim, will do better with an M700 than with an AWM. Because both do 100 HP damage to the head, and therefore makes damage no longer a factor. -

It also lacks accuracy over long range, try shooting someone's head across Black widow for example, while he's standing still, you'll end up using 2+ mags and still not touching him. With the cross hair dead straight on his head. -

With the cross hair dead straight on his head.I've never experienced this myself. Only when they start tossing grenades at me, do I experience a flaw in the M700. But otherwise it is just as accurate for me as any other sniper rifle. Maybe the inaccuracy occurs when you are jumping around and quick-scoping, but then again, I don't jump around or quick-scope when I'm sniping. I prefer to look down my scope and aim.

It's not a matter of moving or quick scoping, over very long range, at about 110 in-game meters, it would hit a few inches away from the scope. I'll fraps it and upload in a while. -
yes i had it a few times that i dont move and shoot and my shot go like a yard away of the place i shot. It's not a matter of moving or quick scoping, over very long range, at about 110 in-game meters, it would hit a few inches away from the scope. I'll fraps it and upload in a while.
but still a awm and any other one hit kill (upper body) is OP and like frecklez said it.
you dont need to have a true sniper skill to hit someone with that cannon.
also they made the awm slow because its a one hit kill on the upper body and then they bhop to bypass the speed of the awm so it is OP.
it can be fast and its one hit kill and it can have 10 shots and thats more then enough because there are only 8 people on one team.
