screen offset

I hooked my pc up to my flat screen via HDMI cable however when i try to play CF everything works fine but i can only see half the screen (it's offset to one side) and the empty space is black. i have searched on the net for solutions but can't find anything. hoping someone has had the same issue and can tell me a fix. if it helps the TV is a 42" sony bravaria.

I never had a problem like that before, but this might help you out. Try going into the TV settings and look for screen resolution. If you find it, try adjusting the screen until you can see the whole screen properly. Hope this helps
