We might as well have knife scope and dual M12s gold scope.

But on topic, a lot of these guns have been ruled out like land mines.

Sure, Failloud. So explain to me why soldiers around the world are still being equipped with 1 assault rifle per person if its so realistic to have soldiers fire 2 instead? The answer is simple, because it's not realistic. It's possible to fire assault rifles, I'm sure. But without your other hand supporting the rifle, you'll never come close to having the same accuracy.

most engagements are within 150 yards or under, accuracy is no problem! i can floss your teeth at that range with my ar-15 from hip fire! the only reason they haven't switched to duel wielded weapons is because of cost...! plus poorly trained soldiers... america's quality in training is lacking!

M200 CheyTac Intervention, short for Cheyenne Tactical Intervention. It's a .408 caliber sniper rifle, Mr. "I shoot 2 AR-10s".

i don't keep up to date with modern weapons simply because there is no reason for newer calibers, the .308 is arguably probably the perfect round, good out to 1200m (longest kill shots recorded) and excellent ballistics in flight, additionally, a nasty round for urban combat, going through walls and cars! assuming that round is bigger? not sure..it seems pretty useless in my opinion..i stick to the .308 only...plus cost affective, i did have a m77 hawkeye in .338, ammo is expensive and scarce, not my zombie type of weapon.

edit: the only new round that interest me is .300 AAC black out, but i will still take .308

What costs? With 2 rifles per soldier, you cut costs in half. Less soldiers needed, less body bags, less flights needed to ship all the corpses back home, less soldiers, veterans and families of soldiers killed in action to be paid. Its an all around win.

And it's not just America that equips 1 AR per soldier. It's every country around the world that does so. And they have been doing so since the invention of the rifle. Actually, that's the whole point behind having advanced weaponry. Minimizing human casualties on your side, while still defeating the other side. That's why the US now has drones bombing the crap out of the Middle East. During WWII it took a whole squadron of B-17s, each with crew of 10 men, to do what 1 drone does today. So no, manpower does not necessary controls war.

what did iraq have during the war? ak's.......rpgs........enfields for snipers, home made bombs = withdrawal from invading forces... advanced weaponry such as a drone isn't advanced the technology has been around since the 70's lol...none of this is classified as advanced weaponry...you can have all the technology you want, but it's valiant people fighting for their country that win, look at vietnam, they simply could not tell enemy from friend, same with iraq.. they tried using drones to monitor people from the air but they couldn't.. simply they needed checkpoints monitoring every square mile basically, something they didn't have enough man power for...

yes technology is going to save people... but it's not going to win a war...the Germans were probably the most advanced people during the 2nd war... we still use their inventions today such as their helmets, jet engines, camo, mauser action etc.

the enemy will adapt to protect their country from different types of technology
