3 months later in june of 12 polleus posts sorry foir the in activeness we got something big coming this week

This weeks big news!

Alright, so here's the Bad News/Great News:

There are some factors with the website that are not being completed up to standards. A lot of the database and back-end work is not performing up to Rob's and my expectations and it is ultimately costing us a lot of money that is not going back into ESG at this point. So, the bad news is that the website will take longer to finish and thus you will not being seeing it in the next few weeks. Bad news over.

The great news --- In light of what I said above, we are going to shift directions a little bit in order to start the action sooner rather than later. Very soon, we will start running exhibition games and organized 10-mans/PUGs/Drafts in a "Let Us Prove It" campaign while the website is crafted into the event system and website that we expect to have.

This campaign will be comprised of small events that WILL be played 100% on our AC client in order to start proving to you as players that what we have actually works to expectations. You can think of it as a beta, but it will be a little more closed than a full-out open beta. More details for the campaign will be discussed at a later date but fear not, you will not have to wait much longer to get your hands on a real AC client and see what it feels like. Stay tuned guys. It won't be long now before you get to actually see the AC client in action. Thanks for reading!

and you've waited over 9 months now to play in a league that half of your team will be banned from instantly.

stop f**ing complaining, it'll be ready when it's ready. in the mean time, play cf and be thankful we'll have the pugs.

    god i love you
  • It's funny how some kids in this community like mykL never appreciate anything.

You should be thankful that their actually putting forth an effort to bring back the competitive side of this game for ****ty players like yourself, who don't even deserve it in the first place.

You act like you're going to go anywhere on client, anyway. Go play a random fps game made by koreans and maybe you'll get somewhere in life. As far as I'm concerned, you're not going anywere in CF anytime soon, not unless it involves off client play anyway.

  • I am going to try and respond to you in the kindest way that I can.

    1. I am sorry that there were delays that I couldn't have possibly planned for in advance. Clearly your expectation is that there should NEVER be delays and there are no excuses for being late.

    2. I am sorry that you do not understand the concept in its entirety of what we're doing here. That this whole project is being built for the LONG TERM and not where it dies after 6 months to 1 year, or sooner.

    3. I am sorry that I work for a living and spent the last 3 weeks working double shifts EVERY SINGLE DAY, while at the same time coordinating 2 final college projects for my Bachelor's Degree. I am so sorry that I could not have just dropped all of that to get this done for you AT THIS VERY MOMENT.

    4. I am sorry that you are so unhappy that it is taking so long for ESG to actually release.

    5. I am sorry that you feel that things like this don't take a long time to actually build and plan RIGHT.

    6. I am sorry that you are so self-absorbed in thinking you had to make a post to complain about something that Iceman, myself, and our AC coder have been working VERY hard to bring to the community FOR NOTHING.

Try to take a step back before posting next time. Thinking is not that hard to do.

    7. Is there something else I should apologize for?

    8. Are we getting the point yet that your post was completely unnecessary?

    9. I don't need to go another number to convey my apologies do I?

To be completely fair, pushing back a league that was supposed to be out around new years until now deserves trolling. It has been more than half a year, this isn't just late anymore it's EXTREMELY late, I'm putting this kindly. Honestly ESG should be looked down upon because you could have been honest how long you need instead of lying and delay, after delay, after delay. This is my opinion.

lets just wait ck i hope this is going to be waiting for and i believe em :)

I was completely honest with every post. As I said in my last post, there were unforeseen delays that I did not plan for and thus why I updated with every post. I never lied about anything and realistically thought things were going to happen when I posted about them. Again, I apologize for the delays and setbacks but that's what happens. Not everything went as planned and I adjusted accordingly. Also, why should ESG be looked down upon again? For the reason that there were setbacks that I didn't plan for and ended up pushing it back so long? Really? That's your reason? We're doing this for you. What do you have to lose right now? Right now there is nothing.

Yeah... creating a decent website is a headache itself. Unless you're a professional web designer/coder it can take a very long time, which is why I understand why the coding for the website is taking so long (I've been there, done that for other websites... it isn't fun). Although it is taking a long time, I appreciate what you're doing Polleus. But in the future, try to be honest with sticking to a set deadline/release date. Have something ready before you release information on it. :) Just a suggestion to prevent people from ****ing and moaning in the future.
  • Funny how I didn't see any of the people complaining shelling out time and money to develop anything for the community.
