Failed to download patch

Hey guys,

I keep getting the failed to download patch when the auto patcher is running. I completely uninstalled the game, downloaded the latest version, installed it and it would start patching and the error would show up. If I try to download it multiple times it will just stop working all together. I click start, auto pacther shows and then goes away.

Any thoughts?

Ok, follow everything I say.
Go to C:/Program Files (86x)/Z8Games/CrossFire and find something called patcher_cf should have a icon of CF. My friend had the exact same error and I fixed it.

Run "patcher_cf" in the CrossFire folder. In C:/Program Files (86x)/Z8Games/CrossFire and this will automatic patch it instead of CrossFire automatic patch.

Uninstall then re-install.

Make sure your anti-virus program is completely disabled.

Went that the craziness and still nothing. Re-downloaded and all. Just keep getting the whole failed to download patch. Here is what is in the log when the error just happened:

[8]16:36:35 It's maxed over that downloadable counting : version [1093] section [1] diff [D]

Not sure what the means. I even tried to do a fresh install on my old XP machine and got the same error and that computer has no anti virus junk or anything.

It sucks lol, been playing this game for a few years without issue.
