Okay, I will only write your name down. Erick's esea was his own idea. My poll was for a different purpose.
Thanks for the feedback, please keep em coming guys. We need more than this.. -
Something that I personally have noticed, there was a lack of 'authority' from our community as a whole when it comes to leagues. I heard from people that WCG USA was filled with people cheating on practically every team. WCG CA with administration problems (I don't know the full issue).
Anyways, the point of the thread is to create a long list of teams and players which can show any league that they should support Cross Fire. However, I'll add that with our participation as a community, there must be better organization and our 'voice' as a community must be priority.
For those that don't support the idea of WOGL, please state why so I can thoroughly address it to the WOGL admins. -

the countless support tickets sent to wcg and getting the reply "we reviewed the replay but we did not find any suspicious activity" even though there were people following name tags across the map through walls with their cross hair -
Greetings,
I am a Cross Fire player competing in the tournament hosted by the WOGL(world online gaming league) to qualify a team for the upcoming World Cyber Games to be held in Busan Korea.
After a few months of playing in diverse qualifiers, we were able to qualify to the national finals along with two other teams, the winner of which is to be sent to Korea to represent Canada and, by extension, our version of Cross Fire on the world stage in Korea.
I have come home tonight to discover that my team(HRG.ca) along with another team(Omniscient) were forfeited in the tournament because the game was to be played tonight. The win by forfeit was given to vVv Lifeline, the only team to be aware of the match and the only team that was present come match time.
After contacting the CEO of WOGL, he has told me that emails were sent to the team leaders on Monday the 19th and that match brackets were posted on Friday the 23rd, one day before the time of Saturday. Note that no mention was posted on the distributor(z8games)'s website(the preferred means of communication in the Cross Fire competitive community). And so it was that, our member not having checked his email for 4 days and with no one in our line-up having visited the WOGL website on Friday, the match has come and gone in relative secrecy and we were forfeited automatically, despite our months of practice and dedication, and the few months of playing it took to be qualified. I would also like to add that the e-mail sent by WOGL was sent using a personal address using a very nondescript name.
We suspect collusion is at work between the WOGL CEO and players of team vVv Lifeline and have seemingly no means of setting this to rights, as the CEO, Stephen Tucker, stands by his decision.
I do not know what means you have , but I am sure you do not want to see a team represent you on the world stage without having deserved it.
I humbly ask that you review our situation and help team HRG.ca and team Omniscient be treated fairly and be given a chance. I know this is an important event for Cross Fire, and it is an extremely important event for us. Being robbed of our chance to compete arbitrarily would devastate us and be a black spot on the reputation of all parties involved.
Thank you for your time,
IGN:sLaNt? team HRG.ca -
The aforementioned letter was sent to EVERY party concerned with crossfire and WCG, with no importance given to geographical location or daily involvement in the community. That means 10+ e-mail addresses, from our own GMS to Higher-ups in publishing. I did not receive a single response.
If WOGL tries to come back in this community, I will do everything in my power to denounce them as the uncaring and arrogant bunch they are. After Bobby(arguably the only person that cared) left, they lost any semblance of professionalism.
I believe the entire incident can be blamed on what is essentially arrogant laziness. The CEO told me that he couldn't reschedule the match because Lifeline players had already sent him a copy of their passports. Keep in mind that is 1-2 hours after the match was supposed to be played.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. You are all being fools and idiots to want this organisation anywhere near your hard work and dedication. -

They should have the winners of the 4 qualifiers play on lan like we were going to for wcg 2011(if I'm not mistaken). It would be fun watching teams flop again... if their mom's let them go. -

That situation still ****es me off.
