Goodbye from FG
Hello CrossFire players, we regret to inform you that we are withdrawing support from CrossFire as it is not conducive to our business plan here at Frost Gaming.
We've had a good run with the game and had a bunch of fun with a lot of it's competitive users.
I'd like to put out a special thanks to the following people:

-AKZ - fun guy to play with and tryout spots in maps.

Quesitons and answers. (Q&A)
Q: What does this affect?
A: We will be shutting down drafts, this Saturday's draft will be the final draft. We will no longer be hosting events. We will keep our sponsored teams for an additional 6 months for interest in ESG.
Q: Does this mean FGC is cancelled?!
A: No, FGC will continue as scheduled and the prize will be paid to the winners.
Q: Will you be coming back?
A: If our interest comes back to the game by more activity (i.e ESG) then possibly.
Q: Why are you leaving?
A: We no longer hold interest in the game and it is not conducive to our business plan for the company.
Q: Does this mean your voice/mumble servers we have from you are going to go down?
A: No.
We'd like to thank all that participated and to all those who supported/helped us out with competitions, tournaments, events.
We will still check in on the forums now and then, and please keep trolling to a minimum in this thread.
Goodbye and good game!

Honestly, we all knew this was going to happen sooner or later..
Oh the words 'business' and 'company' made me giggle.
Except frost gaming is both a business and a company, something you wouldn't understand due to the fact that no one will hire you outside of mcdonalds and other various fast food restaurants. -
It was good while it lasted, I personally thank you for introducing a level of competitiveness to this relatively dead game. It's good to know that people actually attempted to put forth effort into the competitive side of the game.
Good luck with wherever you end up next.

How is this a viable statement whatsoever? They had the best crossfire team, draft, and events for several months, why would they leave? This came as a shock to all of us, and you say that "It was bound to happen?" You're an imbecile. -
Good Good, show the wandering league sponsors how the 'competitive forums' looks like. I'm glad Jon decided to stop sponsoring for you ungrateful idiots. This game is DEAD, **** sakes stop making me laugh trying to call me an idiot over the internet, i quite frankly don't give a **** what you have to say, goodnight.
actually, you're the annoying little 16-year-old who never mans up and behaves like a mature person...
and you really think 'wandering league sponsors' exist? you have to apply to get sponsored at 99% of the sponsors. i guess you wouldn't know considering you've never been sponsored before. -
since this game is in fact DEAD because of idiots and ****s like yourself that still play and start **** with people that are twice as good as you will ever be at this game, and you ask yourself what happened to all the good players in CF? Dumb ass hypocrites.
I got a good laugh out of this.
I'm pretty sure you still play CF, to start, and the fact that you said he argues with people that are twice as good as him makes me chuckle a bit. Surely, you weren't talking about yourself?
Also, I'm pretty sure that the good CF players didn't leave because of people talking ****, they left because CF is lacking at the moment, with the deficiency in tournaments and what not. Therefore, that entire post was essentially a waste of your time. Then again, there is probably plenty of time to go around considering you're a 16 year old kid talking **** through the internet. -
Aren't you pyroclast? Whatever your name is, you're irrelevant to me.
Irrelevant - Not connected with or relevant to something. (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/irrelevant)
I'm not related or connected to you? Ok, makes enough sense to me.
If you're going to attempt to make yourself seem educated with big words, do yourself a favor and find out what the words mean first. That way, you don't seem like a complete dumb****. -
Instead of wasting 5 minutes with that post, you could have used that time more wisely and perhaps have spent it attempting to get a shot in this game.
Instead of wasting five minutes to reply to my post, you should use that time wisely, and learn how to properly link an image.
Actually, I think your IQ is far too low to learn how to use simple BB code, I apologize for proposing such a challenging task. -

Which stinks.
Sigh, something's gotta be done about the troll community here...
Troll communities exist all over the internet, one does not simply remove troll communities. It's part of the internet, and it is even part of all competitive activities, even high school sports, while they may seem like non-"troll" events, there is a lot of trash talk that goes on between teams. The problem is not with the community, if you look at all these successful games on the internet, they all have good game content that is suited for competitive games, while CF may have some elements, it does not have enough. The game must be worked on for a stronger foundation, you can't build unless you have this strong foundation, but as previously stated, it requires money and time. Simply something that is not easily acquired by a small FPS such as this. However, there is hope (or can be), everyone starts somewhere, big and small. I am not going to sit here and write Z8 a business plan to revive CF competitive play, while I would probably like to, I need to know for sure my plan won't be wasted, these things aren't easy to write and require resources and a lot of information to be gathered. -

It just comes down to the game engine. Nothing on the fear engine is any good competitively.
