It's better than 80% of what the f.uc.k t.ar.d community produces. I know who the talented 20% are, and I respect them that much. For you to say it's horrible is pretty harsh. You shouldn't lie to yourself. -
The Good: Quality of the video was nice.
The Bad: Work on sync, The song was eh.
The Ugly: Frags were nothing special (some of the frags were okay).
How you can improve: Remove the black borders. Try to implement different transitions rather than using the same transition over and over again. Work on syncing.
The edit was not bad. But say for example if it were an app clip to Dimension Movies, you most likely wouldn't be accepted. -

No where on this thread has chubrub used any sort of personal attacks against OP. All of his posts have been criticizing the video and only that, and he has fair criticisms to boot.
The frags are nothing special, at least 2 of them are 100% from pubs, and the rest seem like they are as well. They frags also are unlabelled.
Since this isn't a frag clip, lets look at it from a style perspective.
The 3rdpovs are boring, there are only straight-line flyovers, no secondary movement at all (the factory one is 7 seconds long =\). Colour wise they aren't bad, but the glow is way too much, and the rest is way too dark. The crop is ugly, nothing much else to say about it. The sync, when it is even present is way off, and it isn't prioritized at all. There is no flow, no start/finish/peak.
By posting it on the forums, you are looking for criticism. Ego boosting is cool and all, but rejecting the fact that your work could be flawed is ridiculous. -
Personal attack comment was based off what I read 2 days ago from what envsn said, with chubrub defending my comment made towards haters I assumed he was the one who made the rude 'virgin' comment. Too much widescreen[?]
The black bars actually start to hurt my eyes after 30 seconds... Even the clanlogo looks like it got 'smashed'. Horrible choice of music as well. Spotted female chars on 2 maps at least. Pub frags, really?
On a scale of 1 to 5 I'd rate it ...... garbage -
Now, since I wasn't going to say any of the up coming any time soon in this thread, but I might as well now. Gotta enlighten the people who hate on the piece of work I created.
I've recently gotten back to my home, to my set-up and everything. And I've recently fully gotten back into CrossFire, sadly, and you've hardly seen me, 96, in E8 in the last month or two (Two may be stretching the mark, not sure) but nonetheless, I haven't edited in a long time either, and I'm really fond of editing. I've recently also gotten back in to editing like a week or so ago, of course I'm going to be rusty. I had a channel with some of my best work but YouTube f-ucke-d me over big time with copyright bull sh!t. That account is now closed and I don't want to reminded of that bs. Anyway, I found these replays of Alvin online somewhere, they were only a few, I didn't have much to work with (Frags), but I gave it a go. Alvin didn't even know I was making a mixclip for him, he didn't even know who I was until I whispered him in the E8 lobby. We started talking and I told him I was making a mix-clip of him, he didn't believe me at first but who would? A random randomly whispers you saying ''I'm almost done making a video of you, It should be nice'' I know I should of asked him for better frags but I was like 70% done and cba to record more sh!t, but yeah, I had a limited amount of time, I did rush the mixclip due the fact that I have college, and I take my studies serious. I worked on the mixclip & my college work through the weekend as much as I could, balancing sh!t out, I rushed the mixclip, no denying that, but I worked on the mixclip during the nights, It can be very tiresome, I wanted to do a lot more but I cba. Effort, I don't like it. I'm always feeling rather lackadaisical, sh!t lackadaisical is my nick name, It's my alternative name on FaceBook. Moving on... I may have exaggerated in the OP saying It's sexy and all, but I was being playful, I can't believe SOME people took that seriously. It's a decent mixclip for a video that was made in the space of 3 days. There are flaws, I know, but instead of hating, why not give constructive criticism like a majority of the people in this thread have done, good honest human beings.
People can still hate, It's fine, but a lot of people have inboxed me wanting a mixclip of them done, now that's saying something, and I'm happy to work for them, with the right frags that I'll be receiving from them, and the new time plan I have (Making sure college work doesn't interfere with my editing, and making sure editing doesn't interfere with my social life) I assure you that you'll be seeing more of 96 on the scene.

You said it yourself, you're random. This means that no one knows you. So its our fault that we couldn't read into the sarcasm that you're claiming to have spewed?
No matter how you look at it, criticism is going to be negative. No one is going to criticize a video for being too good. It was not worth posting on the forums, that is MY opinion, and obviously I'm not completely alone. People think that I just came in the thread to troll, but I was simply giving my opinion on the mixclip.
The whole "I didn't have much time to complete it" excuse is complete crap. If you didn't have enough time to make a clip that you thought was your full potential, then why post it on the forums?
I actually didn't mind the song, that was my favorite part. If you are going to use a song like that, you have to be a WAY better editor though.
You obviously created this video with hopes of OTHER people enjoying it, or else you would not have posted it on the forums. If you want OTHER people to like it, you have to find out what OTHER people like. Therefore, learn to take criticism (no matter how harsh it may be) and try to get better. I'm taking the criticism fine, because they usually come with good points as well. But you didn't mention anything good in your first post. You mention that you like the song now though, that's cool, It's all good.
You keep talking about posting it on the forums and what not, well Alvin liked the video and I asked him if he wanted it posted on the forums (Me thinking that people love Alvin and would like to see him cus he's one funny, hilarious motherf-uck-er, some people don't like him though.. eh) anyway, he said ''ye, I don't mind''. So I just did it. I posted it on the forums. Now It's on the forums, I wasn't expecting much really, you said I spoke highly of myself, that ''sexy if I say so myself'' was just playful sh!t, but yeah, forums has gotten me a decent amount of views, and I've got a bunch of players wanting me to make mixclips of them now. I've benefited from an okay video, I'm happy with that. I'm going to strive for far greater things now. I know what I have to do now.
