Use of Utilities

Hello,

I wonder if it is allowed to use utilities such as Game Booster (Increase FPS) and cFosSpeed ​​(Decrease Ping).
There is a potential security system confuse them with hacker program?
I know friends who use, but do not want to risk it and I'm here to take this course.

You can use Game Booster, but I'm not sure about cFosSpeed. You should be able to use both.

Gameboost I've used and does not interfere with xTrap in any way.

Not so sure about the cFos thing though.

Yes you can use Game Booster I use it myself and never had any problems with CF all it does is close all other background programs and processes that are not needed. As for the ping one you probably can use that too but I've never tried, I live in the UK so I dont need to lower my ping lol.

Those programs dont directly affect CF, so XTrap wont pick it up as a hack. You will be fine.

cFosSpeed is crap. Try SG TCP Optimizer. This will optimize your network card.

But what about Mumble in that case? Why does Xtrap pick up the overlay?

Because it hooks on the overlay. XTrap doesnt like that :P

Fix for Mumbel.
Mumble, go into Mumble's settings, then the overlay tab and uncheck the box that says enable overlay.
The Game engine [Z8] doesnt like overlays. Mumbel will overlay players name in the game , so as to see whose talking at the time.

u can use GameBooster but i amnot sure from the cfosSpeed...!

I know that. I did it a very long time ago. I was just wondering why Xtrap picked up the Mumble overlay as a hack. Maybe for putting the image somehow onto the client. Who knows.

The answer is right there. It puts the names on top of the game. Xtrap doesnt like that.
