Start with a forum thread to see how it does and get used to it.
A website takes much more work and is best saved for when you know you would want to continue hosting events.

I think what the other people in this thread meant was to start a thread on this forum to test out whether people will be interested or not and I agree with them. If it goes well then make your own forum or site.

If you're willing to put time, money, and effort into this project, then I'd suggest creating a site. However, if you have no experience in XHTML, CSS, Java, PHP, etc, then I'd reconsider that and tell you to create a Forum.

I would expect the website to contain times for each event, along with winning amounts.

This may not be a hit off the bat, as people may think you're scamming, so get started with a small group of people, and I'm sure those people will notify their friends of the website, and the word will spread.

Good luck with this idea, if you were smart, you could make par with the prices spent on Prepaid ZP cards using adsense.

Well I'll explain my suspicions. Number 1, Your clan is Soulsplit. You spam advertisements about it quite a lot which suggests your an lt, or even leader. I've already found all the LTs and the leader on **** posting on hacks, and on the clan recruitment page on ****.

Number 2, I've seen threads made by you before, such as 'Buy me ZP and i will pay you back soon'. Obvious fail attempt at scamming

Number 3, Looking through the soulsplit members, none of them have any ZP really, so i doubt you're just going to give away ZP
