[INFO] Frost Gaming Launch Tournament [READ IMPORTANT]
Hello everyone. Some of you might know this but many do not. I am applying my superb logistical skills to running the FG Launch Tournament. Currently there is much information circulating mainly, because I have not made a final decision on a lot of things. Finals week tends to be a bit hectic.
So where we stand is as follows:
1) Please continue to spread the word of the tournament and try to get as many teams as possible signed up. You may think this is counter productive as it lowers your chances to win. Which is does. It also increases the chances of having a larger prize purse.
2) Go to frostgaming.com and make an account if you haven't already. The majority of the tournament will be ran through the section on the frost gaming website. Only occasional updates and announcements will be posted in the z8games competitive section.
3) To sign your team up visit this section: http://frostgaming.com/index.php?site=forum&board=43
There is a template stickied at the top of the section for you to follow. Please use this template as it makes it easier on myself.
4) If you want to change your roster just post an updated one in the original thread you made.
5) Signups will remain open until Sunday, May 6th @ 8:00 PM EST. Do not wait to the last minute as I will just ignore your team. GET SIGNED UP EARLY!
6) Full schedule and final version of everything will be released on Sunday. Have some patience.
Furthermore, There is also no need to continue to make threads speculating about things or bashing FG. It's kind of ridiculous that certain trolls in this community complain about every single event that is ran. No this isn't a substitute for WCG. Guess what though? It isn't just CrossFire that is losing big lan events. Enjoy what online events there are and quit complaining about perceived "prestige" of events. Any event is a good event as it promotes us as a community continuing to thrive and live.

good, thanks jon and doop for putting this together while the community waits for esg. we will know the map rotation on sunday correct?
The map pool is all S&D maps except for Castle and Compound. As for the exact rotation, it will be announced on Sunday with the schedule. -
This game is more dead than a dead possum on the side of the freeway. PC gaming won't last much longer, I read on the internet there will be future consoles(2013 or so..) And PC and consoles from both Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo will be sharing the same type of online play, and that is reality.
How is a game dead when tens of thousands possibly hundreds of thousands of people play it daily?
How is PC Gaming dying when LoL/dota2/diablo3/sc2/WoW draw record breaking numbers?
Please stay out of my threads. You are just some random person who cheated, then tried to join known teams. Teams realized you have no gamesense and just end up baiting every round so they never picked you up. Now you have some misguided resentment towards the crossfire community and you act on it over the forums. -

haha, alright, gl -
This game is dead, atleast 3/4 of the community is not north american. Pc gaming will die out by next year, no doubt. And I don't need a 'team' cause there is no competetive scene left to compete in this game left, there's barely a handful of teams that are intact and don't disband after 2 weeks. Smell the morning coffee.
So then leave whats stopping you from playing console games?
Oh wait you probably suck at those aswell. -

If the situation is so futile why don't you just leave already then? Do you not have friends in real life? Is spending time on the forums complaining your only form of social interaction? I just don't understand why if: the game is dead, has no competition, you don't enjoy playing, pc gaming will die out, and et cetera; why are you still here?
You're right. PC Gaming will die out by next year. Are we just ignoring the fact that 2010/2011 has had the largest prize pots of all time? You're absolutely right though, I mean who hasn't read an article on the internet. Are we ignoring that there is more "gamers" now than ever before? -

If you have nothing relevant to post involving the competition then don't post at all... Does this thread say "Lets discus the game dying and how long PC games will last"? No it doesn't. So please take your 'valued' opinions in the relevant thread/section of the forums.
Thank you. -

The pc gaming industry doesn't thrive of the "competitive" scene. The "pub scene" is what drives the industry forward that "3/4's" of the "community" drive games forward with the amount of money they pump out for items, map packs etc.
Pc gaming in it self is set to go for a very very long time and according to Moore's law pc gaming will be doubling in quality at an exponential rate.
You should stop making foolish predictions with eye popping ignorance...
