Gradual Winning Chance :: Black Market

Intro
First of all, this is my first suggestion. I have to admit I haven't taken the effort at other suggestion in how they are constructed and posted. But I'm sure that if i use proper grammar and make my case understandable, everyone will understand what I'm suggesting.

In another thread in the Crossfire Barracks section I posted a short version, which had some positive feedback. This is why I'd like to make it an official suggestion here in this section.

Current system of the Black Market
I've spend quite some time and money on the Black Market as it is now and although I like the whole idea of being able to gamble for exclusive guns, it does -in my opinion- require some extra balance to give everyone that takes their chances to in the end have a fair opportunity to win their favorite gun.

The system as it is now is in my opinion based on a fixed percentage. With every crate you open, whether it be with ZP or GP you have the same chance to win something. I have no clue what the percentages look like. Although I'm sure that if a poll was made and an input of hundreds of vote, the player community can establish a decent guess on it.

The suggestion
With the time and money I've spend in the Black Market, I can honestly say that I've been paying way more then the average player. I'm not whining about it because I know it's all based on luck and percentages, there's nothing to whine about that. You know that beforehand and you can spend $1 or $1000 and win it.

What I'd like to suggest is complement the current system with a gradual increase of the chance on winning the item you're gambling for.

In a short example:
* Say the current fixed percentage is 10%

- Crates 001-025 :: 10%
- Crates 026-050 :: 14%
- Crates 051-075 :: 19%
- Crates 076-100 :: 25%
- Crates 101-150 :: 32%
- Crates 151-999 :: 40%
Please note that these are all more or less fictive numbers, as I said before I have no idea what the winning percentage is

I take it that by the time you reach 999 you must have it >.>

End Note
I think that this is a good way to balance the difference between a player winning the item in 1 crate and the player that has to use many more.

I hope that some sort of change will be made to accomodate all players. I've been a (too) loyal user of the Black Market and like to see a winning roll for once :(

Comments

  • I'd agree, good thinking infinite. But i guess Z8games couldn't care less due to how much profit they are benefiting from this. Please Z8 make it happen!
  • errmm i dont think thats right cause people win on the first crate quite often.
  • It might be a higher percentage I don't know. That is why I gave it a note :)
  • I thinks its a good idea BUT I think the more likely thing to happen will be to make every black market gun purchaseable with coupons. That way, even if someone doesnt win the gun they want they still have that second option. I prefer your idea but I cant see them doing anything that could decrease the amount of money they earn :(
  • Yea I like the Idea Infinite. I am not sure but the precentage Is about 0.1 ATM.

    But I am not 100% sure about that /Sneak
  • OOOORRRRR OR OR OR ORRR~
    we could bring back the old BM i hate spinning =D its all a gamble
  • I love the idea. Some one told me that the percentage of winning a permanent gun from a ZP or GP crate is around 0.01 %. I am not sure that I true, but after spending more than $150 on this it seems this way. It would be great if the winning percentage could increase as the number of crates purchased also increases.

    I fully support this.
  • In another thread like this I posted concern about this and my reasons being first that its not fair for any one who doesn't spend hundreds of dollars on this game to have a better chance of wining that some who doesn't. Reason two is that the GMs,Mods,and just about everyone else have posted that the Black market is all about luck.....meaning that its probably never going to fair, as it should be. Think about casinos, if you have ever been to Vegas and inside a casino you will see at the slot machines a very large group of elderly people, who spend most of there time just dropping coins into the machines over and over again. Obviously they're not getting any luckier, so why should you get a better chance because youve spent more money on the game then some one else?

    i`ll tell you how it works , it`s based on time, intrnet connection and how long you press that button, i note that at a certain time of the day people win something and the next, at a similar time, they win something aigain, then when i get a crate, i never win because (you can see the spinning lag as the pc changes the actual stuff positions so we win nothing) so the chances of getting something are low, BUT, if your inter net is more laggy, ping like 1000 you get a better chance of getttin the oject, there was a post of how a player lagged during his crating and won a million gp, and another lagged too much and won 3 m16`s out of a zp crate, yes it`s a fail i know, but the crate system doesnt suck, it swallows.

    Would you mind to post proof to back that up?
