You can translate those passages in many ways and distort them has well. I`m strongly against organised religion but I don`t distort passages from religious books. I Often see people with opposing views do the very same thing has well, They pick a verse from the Bible and distort the true meaning of it. For example Exodus 31:15 - "Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death." Then they would follow up with some sarcastic response like "Guys don't look over their fence on Sunday morning and see a neighbor mowing the lawn and think, "Working on Sunday? I really should kill him." You know yourself that`s not truly what that verse means, but on the other hand that`s what you`re exactly doing to the Quran.
