haven't scrimmed on the new maps tbh so i cannot say anything about those but i could only think of 1...
factory primarily because if played correctly it's extremely gr sided. making the opposing team over-rotate is less-effective on this map as well.
but everyone sucks so it's not too bad -

EE- More of a pub map, doesn't seem to be scrim-sided. Over all a boring map to scrim.
Didn't feel like writing paragraphs ;c
LOL retaking a site goes like this, flash flash flash, entry frag, bait fest, defuse. you can't go A site every time. -

I think we should play all maps, Castle isn't that bad, I think people can adjust to it just as we did to Ankara. If you have to eliminate two maps I'd go with Castle and probably Factory since you're running into chokepoints in every site on T side and it makes it very CT sided if you know what you're doing. Every other map seems fun to play to me.
Maps that I want to play more in matches/scrims: EE, The Mine, Santoria, Ceyhan, Desertstorm -

boring because they can't get rounds on the maps. that's all. boring to all those who play and don't win matches on that particular map. -
Castle - Basically sum up what everyone on the thread said seeing as they didn't want it.
Compound - It honestly just shouldn't be played in my opinion, the amount of people that actually play the map in scrims is slim to none for a reason. But it's not about popularity, it just doesn't have the potential to be a competitive map. -

All maps are fine, people say X map is CT or T sided and you're at a disadvantage for that half. Well, the other team will also be at the same disadvantage, it's how you mask that disadvantage or exploit it on the appropriate half. As Fallout said, **Flash flash** , kill, defuse for the GR side of castle if BL decides to exploit A on their half. It's not about what map you're playing at all its the smarts of the team that comes into play as well and that matters much more than a "flawed" map. If it were up to me I'd have people play with the "flawed" map and have them learn how to play it, it will probable evoke smarts that this community is desperately lacking or hell even out shooting the other team would work since CF is primarily aim based any who.

Mhm... No Castle, people use the spam spot/glitch in the map where they can practically they can see half of the map and kill them. Castle has bomb glitches as well. I dislike mexico, again with the glitches. You can run on roofs and kill everyone.
You're not allowed to use any of those glitches in any tournaments, unless specified otherwise. -

Running on a roof doesn't mean it's a glitch. That's a legitimate spot that actually takes a bit of skill to get onto, and only really provides you with a slightly easier alley take and a good mid vantage point.
Just because you can jump onto a roof does not mean that a map is bad or invalid. -
Castle: Ladder movement speed changes how the map is played, I don't dislike the overall idea of the map. The map has an interesting concept, but with the way ladder movement speed works breaks the map.
Down Town: I just really dislike how the map plays, A site is a cluster **** of painful lack of reg moments. Also the waterway the ladders seem to be fairly abusive, but not to the point of maps like Castle or The Mines. I just really hate this map, its honestly not that bad minus the fact that playing it looks goofy once teams start abusing falling. -

This is true, but it can also be said about the Mine, possibly Santoria as well.
Maps like Port have short ladders in areas where racing up them isn't nearly as important, which is why I don't include them, but an argument can be made against them as well.
EDIT: Lainn, I''m also going to have to disagree with your assessment of DT ladders. Considering that both of them are ridiculous choke point, and the only way up from sewers at those points, they are even MORE problematic than the Mine ladder. -

I just hate DT and wanted to throw that in there. I don't even mind the ladders, I just hate A site. On lan it might be fine, but with the variability of ping its just so random. -
Every map in this game can be played competitively.
The nuance is in that every map encourages certain behaviors that we may or may not want to promote:
Factory encourages flash + smoke work and good timing,
Black Widow encourages steady advance and clearing of angles,
Desert storm and the Mine encourages fakes and punishing rotations,
Castle is all about fighting in choke points,
Downtown encourages "hiding" and playing "gay"(no relation to ****-sexuality) and, yes, non-reliance on ladder routes,
Port encourages site stacks and/or retakes,
etc.
All the maps are good, people are just mad because some maps punish their style of play as opposed to other people's e.g. I suck d*ck on mexico but r*pe in santoria.
