We still don't know if it's going to be in the coupons or if it's a temp ZP weapon or what.
So all we know is that the new coupon weapons replacing the AWM Camo and PSG RD will be 90 day temps.
The machete has no confirmed place atm, except that it's coming in the upcoming patch

^ +1 It's a totall waste of Coupons. I remember when you could get a perm weapon at 40 Coupons that was the legit.. Now it seems that they're taking out all the fun.. Took out perm. axe, M4A1-Crystal all those awesome cool guns.. And now we have to have 80 Coupons to have a permanent gun?!?! In that case they need to make Coupons easier to get in GP crates and ZP crates all together. Rediculous if you ask me. -
Actually it does
Except one has a fore grip and the other doesn't, as well as having significantly different shoulder stocks... Finally one has a curved clip while the other does not. They really don't look similar if you really do look at them... -

I'm surprised you haven't cried about why Z8Games just doesn't make everything free yet.
You already have loads of GP weapons that you can earn permanently. There is a point where you are giving away so much (in the form of permanent coupon weapons) that you start to lose customers who simply don't purchase anything anymore. It's called business. If you don't like, tough.

There are enough people who spend enough (I repeat, ENOUGH) money on ZP. The thing is that z8 gets greedier everytime. No, it doesn't suffice that many people buy ZP not only for crates, but also for other ZP items, now you even want them to have to buy more zp for getting the special things from the coupon exchange.
I understand that some weapons have to get taken out of the exchange. There once was a tabletop game that had the issue that on every tournament even the oldest figures, many of them with unique and way too powerful abilities, were allowed and stomped beginners into the ground.
One thing to get people to buy more zp would also be to add more GP crates. Seriously, the amount of GP give to you at the beginning is little, so you either have to get VERY lucky once you can access the BM or you (SURPRISE!): buy zp to either get them directly from the mall or through zp crates. But no, there are only less than half as many gp crates than zp crates. And believe me, even the GP crates are attractive even for us ZP buyers.
And now I come to my most important point: I just assume that Z8 makes enough money. Still, everytime an official thread gets opened, epic discussion start in which uncountable numbers of players express their discontent. A chimp with half its brain removed would realize there is something wrong that upsets the players and needs to be taken care of. But maybe half a chimp's brainmass is more than you will find in all the heads of Z8's marketing department....

coupons really suck now... I feel bad for people who didnt get some of the awesome stuff coupons offered at permanant.

Its because it was meant to be UNIQUE, they added the wrong Golden M4 design on the coupon system then they changed it...

Whats more profitable?
10,000 players buying a perm item that cost $100 once. ($1,000,000)
or
10 players buying a temp item for $100 and telling everyone else it is not worth it. ($10,000)
Z8 is a company that needs to make money but they way they're doing it only discourages customers from spending any.
The players that are complaining about wanting more coupon weapons are players that already bought all they wanted from it, or in other words players that spent $800+ already.
The less valuable coupons become the less ZP players buy.
Crates a gamble and coupons were a safe bet to at least get something from all the money they spent. With out that safe bet heavy ZP spenders stop spending and Z8 loses potential customers.
How many temp guns do you see around?
If they aren't in a ZP crate it is incredibly rare to see one.
Most people don't spend money on something they don't get to keep. -
Is the Machete going to be permanent by using coupon exchange?
The weapons that are going to replace the AWM-Camo and PSG-RD are going to be temporary. As far as the machete goes, we'll just have to wait to find out where its place in the game will be. -
