Players from India

Currently I am noticing that there is a considerable amount of crossfire players from India. In most of the games I can fine 1-2 crossfire players from India. Also there are few Indian clans in crossfire doing well. I think way before in 2009 when I joined CF there is hardly any Indian players but now the picture has changed.

As in the new patch some areas are IP restricted but not India, so I guess there is a chance that z8 could get license for placing a CF server in India. And India is a big market right now, Battlefield 3 has Indian server, huge no of players play bf3 from India and 2-3 other Online FPS games also has Indian server. Also TF2 has most users from India that any other country in Asia, Australia . I z8 could easily get hold of that huge Indian market my placing a CF server there.

I know there are many other countries who deserve a CF server but I am speaking for my country here. Also it will lower the no. of hackers in game because 90% hack because they lag in game. For the matter of fact I get <150 ping in UK servers.

  • yes would be awesome if they place an indian server.
  • I haven't noticed too many of them in the NA Version, but they do have over a billion people... so I bet some would play.
  • Just because there is 400-600 of you doesn't mean they have to make a server for you.
  • There are guys missing one Australian too.
  • CRossfire isn't going to around making servers wherever people want, like india or australia, simply because it costs a lot of money to make one and there not going to stick one somewhere where they think they won't make profit.

Thats one of the reasons br's got there own servers is because they saw themselves making profit because brs basically have infected the entire NA servers.

Agree, it make me laugh when im on NA servers and i get 119 ping and the BRS 156 / 200

    UK server : 29
  • Don't see many Indian players, i have probably seen more Australian players. Would be cool if you guys can get a license over there for both countries to experience better ping and gaming experience
  • I agree with yo..
There are ample number of players from Indian subcontinent..
Would be nice if Z8 starts a server in India.
We have been here, supporting Z8 for a long time.
The high ping which we get results in us being kicked from games although we dont hack..
The ping usually stays at 200 level.. Z8 pls accept our request.
  • I noticed that they have relatively good English and its a good advantage, however, it is not their mother language so I'm not sure about Z8's support for this idea.

    this. profitability matters.
  • Bro lets not use labels + iv'e never even noticed one of them
  • Anyone playing from India must be mentally handicapped, Crossfire NA is hosted on the complete other side of the world from there. There are 3 versions of Crossfire much closer to India than any CF NA server. The Brazilians at least have the excuse that this was the closest CF version for them.
  • Put a server in india? People are forgetting this is a ENGLISH version of the game (just saying)

(Canada/America/UK main language is English right...)

you have a better chance at seeing a server in Australia then India

Why don't they have Australia server? Australia main language is English.

Plus, India is 2rd most populated country in the world so marketing there would be good. I know many Indian players from UK who play Crossfire.

because they don't have the licencee...

Indian people can't play those CF versions because those are in Vietnamese, Chinese , Korean. And no one in India understand those languages. In the other hand English is the 3rd language of India. So everyone knows English. You can fine many Indians in UK severs.

Also I think if they host a server in Australia it would also be good for Indians, they will get less ping in Aus servers than they get in UK.

But Indian is one hell of a market right now, EA proving Indian servers for all their games like Mass Effect, FIFA 12, BF3 etc. Also TF2 has Indian servers and they are making good profit from India. Also many Indians buy ZP here even though some of them lag, you can imagine if they get their own servers how much zp they gonna spend on this game.

So there is no question of profitability here.

I have already requested this same thing a lots of time before. But z8 admins told me that they have no plan to set up a separate server in India for now. Btw when I used to play this game regularly, my clan had 450 rank. Now that I can not manage time to play CF regularly, thus, our whole clan have become inactive and rank become worst of all time. And with our ping, it is not totally impossible to play this game , particularly playing in UK servers. Btw what is IGN?
  • there are players from a massive number of countries. That doesnt mean z8 are gonna put servers in every single country that has the slightest interest in the game.

You are from Kolkata I guess, I am also from Kolkata. :) Is the clan name inspired from IPL? :)
My IGN is iAlma_Rock. Our clan [IndieRock] doing well. We are just 1 month old clan but we already got into top 2000 clans. There are many players from Kolkata in our clan.

All Indian based clan merged in our clan before. Clan like Indian tiger and so on. U can also merge us and we r a very healthy clan and a lots of clan bank balance and 100 member slots. But the unfortunate thing is we r not active now. Don't know when I will return here again in full force :(

I am not talking about the slightest interest, there is huge amount of interest about crossfire in India.

Whatever may be the "interest rate", we will not get a server unless the mods thinks it's necessary. U r suggesting the same thing after 3 years I did.

GMs, not MODs. And they wouldn't see the addition of servers for India as "necessary," but more of a marketing incentive if they were to have servers there.
  • You have to talk to Neowitz and SmileGate about this.

Neowitz is the publisher for the developer SmileGate, you will have to go through Neowitz to talk to SmileGate.

If a publisher in India is interested, they should talk to Neowitz.

There is a huge amount of interest from the Aussie land but they dont have a server either.
  • i do want a cf server in india

this means just that even after three years we are still not giving up on the idea.

and profitability is not an issue as India has a growing market for fps like these
with better connectivity and hardware being available to people now , this might be the right time to boost the already big fan following of crossfire.

regarding language , contrary to believes we Indians do know English. ;)
  • I think they will get a lot more profit but it is a huge risk to them as well because they don't want a dead server.
