The x-trap update.

Why?

The game loads so much faster now. It used to load INSANELY SLOW before this update.

While I agree the xtrap update was definitely the highlight of the patch, the xtrap update alone isn't the sole reason why the game loads faster!

Some of the game code was optimized to help with that too!

Thanks for the praise, now go and enjoy the patch and some hack-free gaming!

I know this is off topidc but it said to download latest client so I deleted my crossfire so which one do I download now?

removal of gameguard was THE BEST thing ever happened to crossfire.....thank you so much for that GMs..........

well this patch managed to *** up my ping even more. It used to be 177 until 4 weeks ago when it became 220. I was under the assumption this patch would fix the issue, however now my ping has gone up by 30 in all the servers. (i usually play in west coast)
so for me this patch fails...

Ping issues is something we will look into. Right now the servers are getting hammered with people downloading the patch.

Give it some time to right itself, THEN complain about a higher than normal ping. We'll be looking to track all players information about the issue in an upcoming tech support post.

hack free? I just saw a chammer (it was funny playing the new map and all of a sudden dude runs around and in 45 seconds kille dthe whole team)

Check your temporary replay files and etc., so we can confirm this?

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the game loaded MUCH faster...in less than half the time, and I thought it was because of my ancient computer. Too good, Saidin...

shouldn't it be "ping issues are".
"Give it some time to correct itself". i have "given" it over a month.

btw i am being a jerk because i am annoyed at my ping lol. sorry for anything i said

did anyone else experience a raise in FPS in game??? i was in an 8v8 with a bunch of friends on downtown and my fps normally is between 50-70 with 8v8 on big maps.. after this patch i was playing with 60-110fps ...
