I don't know much as I haven't had much first hand experience but my friends have said good things about:

Logitech g35 (it's wireless if that is a pro or a con)
Razer Carcharias though I've also heard crap about them.
Turtle beaches in general. Just came out with $40 z11 which seem just like a pc version of their p11/x11 which everybody seems to like.

The g35's are the most expensive out of those. The razers are about the same as the 780s, and the 780s are probably better, but again, I don't have any first hand experience. Doop knows a lot about hardware though, xfire him if you haven't?

The p11s in my opinion are garbage compared to the x11s or x12s. Same price, different performance. I've had all three and I could easily tell the difference in terms of sound. I recommend the x12s for it's price, but for your budget go with what everyone else has already mentioned.

Thankyou, I don't understand people who spend $160 on some headsets, You can get a decent pair of headphones for no more then £30 , which is around $60?

I say as far as the turtle beaches go, since I have a pair, the mic quality is amazing. Like, amazing. As far as audio quality goes, its a bit of a step down from some of the other top headsets.
