seeing as most of the community is in limbo with competition now essentially slowing down to a halt (until ESG comes out) I personally think people should rethink legal and illegal weapons and rule sets.
m4/ak/awp keeps it fair, but theres so many other guns in the game right now that can broaden the gameplay. in css/1.6/any other game you can use whatever gun you want as long as it's not insanely op. just because a gun does 100% wall damage doesn't mean it should be op, it should be used because it's a valuable asset when covering a site or pushing one. i think scar l should stay out but im not opposed to adding xm8/qbz/type89.

to be fair.... allowing guns with 100% wall bang is unfair and stupid.
simply because it puts the opposing player at a disadvantage, so the person with the said weapon can just spam unchallengeable spots and kill you but you cant do it vice versa with something like an M4A1 or AK-47.
so i think 100% wall bang weapons should stay banned. -
i was referring to the relative ease of the k2 in terms of use not specs.

M4 Spray is the exact same as the SL, save for the SL having a 1 bullet delay when standing still.
As for damage I'll check the numbers. -
I'm down for scar-lights, m12s', etc...
But 100% wallbang guns are completely broken. Anyone who says otherwise is a dumbass. We've all seen the insanely boring games 100% wallbang guns bring to this game. Look back to WOGL, at LEAST 4 xm8's on each team just trying abuse it's 100% wallbang by spamming every spammable wall/box in the map.
NO ONE in this community can say that 100% wallbang guns are balanced because they have less recoil or less spread blahblahblah... Most of the guns in this game feel the EXACT same, and all have basically the same spray pattern. -
It's an open discussion to the community fallout, calm your ****, you sound like my professor.
I do think that the k2 should be allowed, it's only op if you know how to use it and most idiots don't. I think that there should be some solid input from the community in one collective thread(not necessarily this one), because otherwise you get a rift between the competitive community, 1 side using old rules and 1 side using new. It can't just be a few people that make this decision. We all know which guns shouldn't be allowed, all I'm asking in this thread is for people to take another look at the guns that could/should be legal. Ultimately, it comes down to what esg decides, so take this thread as a petition for them. -

You're dumb. The k2 indeed isn't OP, but ANY idiot can use it. Do you remember when it was legal and all the way below average kids were getting 8+ frags a half instead of 2-3? That was because of the k2. Look at them now. -

Thats what I'm trying to say. Don't exclude guns just because they have their own perks to them, exclude them because of their overall effect on the competitive game. If its detrimental, take it out. If not, why shouldn't you be able to use it? -

I honestly don't remember that so I can't comment on it.
To comment on the gun limit though, back when vsgl was starting there was a huge argument about whether they should have an awp per team limit. Basically what it came down to was that if people wanted to run a 5 man awp team there would obviously be ways they could be beaten easily. The limits should be on a gun by gun basis. If having a team stack one gun would change the match drastically, limit it. If it doesn't, don't. Simple as that
