so wcg is gone(if not a troll) what about wem?
After the announcement of the World Cyber Games moving to a mobile platform, cnFrag.com has reported that the World E-Sports Masters will drop two of its longest running games, Counter-Strike 1.6 and Warcraft III.
The organization was scheduled to have an event in 2011, but it was delayed until 2012 so that they could satisfy all agreements and to hold the best event possible. According to the report, the WEM will shift its focus to League of Legends and StarCraft 2.
The WEM committee is also in charge of organizing the e-Stars Seoul event, therefore it is up in the air if we will see Counter-Strike anytime soon in a Korean event.
The next event is scheduled to begin on October 23rd of this year and last until the 28th. The organization has yet to release an official announcement and will most likely make it soon. Along with the announcement should be information on how they plan to include more gamers for the upcoming event.
Basically, If they're going to drop cs, I highly doubt CF will be in the games rotation. Thoughts?

The odds of it dropping one of the most popular FPS games in the world and pick up a free to play game is not going to happen. -
They would make the switch to css long before the one to cf. The only reason the cs players who did come here was because of a way easier road to wcg + wem.
Wem didn't have cf last year, so I'm doubting they will this year.
There wasn't even WEM last year. -

though Warcraft 3 and CS 1.6 are immensely popular, i love 1.6 personally.
but they are getting old in terms of game play and visuals.
i guess its a case of its getting old so lets drop it, keep in mind how long 1.6 & warcraft III have been out, i doubt they will drop crossfire due to how popular it is in asia so.
