My Logitech mouse DISCONNECTS itself, when it's in the USB port, but like a second later it connects back. I tried putting it into another USB port, but it still does that.

HELP?

I had the same problem a few years back. One of the wires must have broken in the mouse cable. If I moved the wire, the mouse would reconnect.

Also, S-N-I-P-E-S, this is the Z8 forum and not Reddit.

I had this once, the end that had the messed up wire was on the usb side. I just found a spot where it worked and taped it to the desk/computer.

Same with some of my older headsets when I was younger.

If thats a wire its easy to repair, no need to get a new one .

either the USB port is bad or the mouse itself.

make sure it is not the mouse.

gaming mice are expensive.


I like small mice.

It's normally the wire/connector. However, if I were you I would just contact logitech support as they will send you a brand new mouse.

had this problem with MX518, bought a new one, 2 years later the same problem. Get a new mouse the sensor is shot I believe

i had the same problem with my old mouse, i stopped using it for a while and then started again, worked fine but it eventually comes back. Get a new mouse.

I was thinking myself on getting a new mouse because my 518 is forcing glitchy/buggy movements. Look into the mionix noas 3200 optical mouse.

Ur usb ports are to old for ur mouse,even if you get a new mouse ull get the same problem in a couple weeks again,upgrade ur usb ports from 1.0 to 2.0 so ur mouse can connect to it


ofcourse if this is ur problem.

it cost about 20 dollars to do it.
