Which of the Following is a good recorder but doesn't record to much of data onto your Hard drive.

Fraps
Growler
Bandicam
Or any other I don't know about.

I've tried xFire, fraps, and bandicam. The one that worked best for me was fraps.

Bandicam files are much smaller which is way nicer. Good for recording scrims or during tournies and such at low quality. It didn't work very well for me at higher quality though. Like I put the settings higher and tried to record with that instead of fraps and it lagged me harder than fraps did. It did this not only for me in crossfire, but source and 1.6 as well.

Might have just been that day and my comp freaking out; I still have to test it more.

If you record bandicam at 120 fps at 100 quality it has better quality than fraps with less space....but most of you guys probably don't have a computer that can do that.

Bandicam is still better than anything else.

Bandicam is still better than anything else.

fraps is actually better quality even if you turn up the quality settings in bandicam

also, the fact that bandicam makes compressed files instead of uncompressed .avi files blows if you even want to remotely edit the footage.

I have been running xFire. The files are way to big its 17 gb for a 20-30 minute Scrim 1st half.
With settings 25 fps at full screen.
I can run Bandicam just got the crack and working good.

I haven't had a problem editing my footage.
