TEAM REGISTRATION DEAD LINE - TUESDAY, MARCH 20th, 2012.


1.0 - Information

CFA12' (CrossFire Assault 2012) has been brought to the community to enhance competitive play for the those who wish to keep a stride in activity, and in the competitive field of CrossFire. The tournament was suppose to be released last month but due to past events it was delayed (suppose to be delayed) until the beginning of April, so we decided to release it now. CFA12 is a community ran tournament by volunteers within the CrossFire community and supported by third-party people/organizations.

1.1 - Pre-FAQ's

Q: "Will there be any prizes?"
A: Yes, there will be prizes. They are still being sorted but we can confirm the prizes of Z8 Game Points (ZP), and Virtual Credit Cards (Prepaid). More will be added most likely, but not guaranteed.

Confirmed Prize List -

• 100k ZP | 1st Place | 20k ZP / player for starting 5.
• 50k ZP | 2nd Place | 10k ZP / player for starting 5.
• 40k GP Codes | 3rd Place | 40k GP / player for starting 5.

• Mouse & 50$ Gift Card (VISA or UGC) - Tournament MVP. (Kill / Death Overall)
Mice Options (1) - LogiTech G400, G500 or Steel Series Kinzu, Sensei.

Q: "Is there an anti-cheat?"
A: No, there is no 'proper' anti-cheat. Instead we will be using the basic screen capture equipment with a choice between; FRAPS, BANDICAM, and GROWLER. It WILL be mandatory to run MOSS during both halves of the match, along with one of the recording programs allowed.


* You are required to run MOSS during matches, so it is mandatory to download it. You have the option of downloading BandiCam, Fraps, and Growler below - choose one!

Q: "What are default times?"
A: Default is set as - THURSDAY, 9:00 PM EST.


Why type of tournament style? -

"I talked to Scott and couple of others, and we have decided (and agreed) on a Round Robin (Point-style) and then the top 4 teams from two groups will then go head onto playing Single Elimination with a loser bracket to have a final fight for third place prize."

Q: "What is a USN?"
A: A USN is a "idenification" number for your account. It's sort of like an account number. We use it just incase of name changes, or mix ups between accounts. To find your USN - Login to Z8 Games > Go to "CLAN" > Click "MY PROFILE" > Look at the URL Bar of your browser, the ending part USN=NUMBERS(example: http://clan.z8games.com/charstat_cf.aspx?usn=8089702 - USN is 8089702)

You may not wear any customizable character items. This includes hats, backpacks, shoulder packs,
waist packs, and lower items. This rule is implemented to avoid confusion is frequent pondering on what
a certain player shouldn’t be wearing.

4.0 - Additional Information

More information such as Match Comms, Map Rotations, Schedule, etc. will be announced once we have reached enough teams. For those who are wondering, we do not plan to interfere with current running tournaments.
