[GM] Sound Booster? For Ghost Breath

Is there some sort of sound booster i could use? like i think someone told me "realtek audio HD audio booster" idk i forgot. But i need some thing better b/c i can barly hear anything. Plus espically with the breath down noobs = =. Also i need something that can be campatibale with game booster.

The manager you mentioned doesn't always work since it was designed for those specific brand of video cards. (And typically already comes installed with such.)

A good pair of headphones and a keen set of ears is usually all you need to do well in GM.

And the headphones/headset/earbuds doesn't even have to be that good, I know people that are decent with crappy $10 earbuds xP I myself use a $25 headset.

Yeah I play GM fine with my cheapy $30 dollar headset. And I played it fine with my last headset which was a $15 dynex piece of crap. I might pinpoint a bit better with a $200 Sennhauser headset but it's hardly worth it. As for sound booster programs, I have no idea.

As long as your headphones seperate sounds on your left and on your right you should be fine. Just takes some practice to be able 'see' with your ears.

Yeah I could see that. Monster headphones might be too overstimulating to hear the forest for the trees, so to speak.

Try this, it helped me a bit. I can't find the guide that helped me so i'll have to explain it for you.

Find the icon in the lower right of your desktop for the sound. Right click on that and you should get an option for "playback devices", select that. Then right click on the sound device with a green check mark and select properties.

Once in there go to enhancements and check mark the "Environment" and "Equalizer" options. There will be a drop down list at the bottom and select "living room" from that.

If i have to i might be able to provide screen shots to help if you can't figure it out(i'm kinda lazy in that respect lol).

bass doesnt help on gm...

OT: Get a good sound card.. u wont have to worry about how good your headphones are.

X-fi SB's usually have a feature called "Crystalizer" wich makes da noise more cleaner and clearer.. in other words u wont hear sprayers at all.. /s 0 wont be necessary with a good EQ setting
