I started playing FPS from Counter Strike 1.5...
That was... 2002, 2003? I can't remember exactly.
I'm 100% sure it was the most popular game in China for a very long time.
I'm also 100% sure ALL of my Chinese friends started playing FPS from that.
When Cross Fire was first released in China, I said...
WTF?! A direct copy of Counter Strike?!

Because Counter Strike had dominated FPS (at least in Asia) for almost 10 years.
And, in the early year of Cross Fire (2008), it was at least 90% same as Counter Strike.
Cross Fire gradually developed its own style recently, not from its beginning.

CS used the Half Life engine, both games developed by Valve. CF and others later used HL engine. CS:source was an upgraded engine called Source.
Source Engine is 1 generation younger than CF. So you need better graphics card to play.
That's why you can get NO Frag on CS source using your CF setup.
