How To Re-Enable Transparency on Win7
Simple really.
Once you've loaded the game go to your task manager.
End the dwm.exe process, this is the process that manages aero etc.
It'll automatically re-launch with your transparency.
Be careful though, if you close DWM twice in quick succession you'll be stuck in the Basic theme as it'll only relaunch once.

Oh, you mean how CF makes windows switch to compatibility mode? it only started happening for me after the patch to fix the loading problems...and it (windows) goes back to normal after I close the game...I just don't like the fact that it does it now when it didn't do it before...

I dnt see how CF is incompatible with the aero theme becuz I customized my XP to look lyke 7 nd it has an aero taskbar but works perfectly O.o
....
You're not using windows 7 so you're not using the aero theme/process. You're using a modified set of processes on windows xp. -

Care to elaborate? Besides a retart wouldn't know how to do what I did, and shut up if you'rent going to say something helpful like your better Rory k, thxbai
If what Rory suggested doesn't work, set CF to run in/out compatibility mode
Depending on if its auto or not
