Portal 2 as an FPS, Skyrim as an RPG.

They could make something work with Portal 2 COOP, no idea about Skyrim haha.How they gonna' put Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3 and Tera on that list when the games don't even come out for another 3-4 months?
Edit: The RTS and MOBA is a tough one too. Wc3, LoL, Dota2 and SC2.
People at WCG might have some inside info on unreleased/beta games. I'm sure the companies who develop those games would love to see them at a big esports event, or something along those lines.
RTS and MOBA have great choices. I'm pretty sure SC2 is a given, but I have no idea about HON/LOL/DOTA2. LOL seems to have more viewing numbers on streaming sites, but I don't keep track often enough. Surprisingly CSS is off the list again, but at least 1.6 should roll in pretty easy. -
That's the thing, they aren't going to be released until May, June and July for the three MMOs. Sure, GW2 is in Alpha right now and Tera is in Closed beta and so is Diablo 3, but anyone who isn't in these testings has no idea at all what the game is going to be like. Considering 99% of the player base isn't in the alpha and 98% isn't in the betas, how dey gonna put dose games up mang?
As for the RTS and MOBA, SC2 for sure and most likely LOL. HoN will not make it for sure and dota2 is also (or just finished) in beta so I don't think it will have that large a vote. -

Oblivion Multiplayer has been modded before, that mod community is awesome.
I can see that happening, but the equipment/spell/enchantment regulations would just be weird. -
DJ Hero 2 and NOTHING ELSE!!! OK, maybe not- I voted for TrackMania 2, FIFA 12 [Xbox] and NBA2K12 as well. FPS games just don't have a pot anymore. Asphalt 6 had a bigger prize pool than both CF and CS in WCG; Kris put it in ESG, say yes?!?! I play for the money...
I never really vote though. They really don't go off the voting. They use it to see what the interest level is, but ultimately they choose where they most benefit. -
I still don't why they pay out the way they do.
Must be the sponsors for each specific game? Maybe it's what they deem gets the more viewers, etc...??
Company payouts. You think CF would REALLLLY give out a good prize pool? I mean c'mon, look at how G4Box looks at this game in general. The servers they chose to invest in and plant their game are garbage. I'm just being honest here. The product of your work is only as great as YOU choose to make it. You want a $2 product; You invest $2. SG isn't much different. If you look at their other games of theirs that have had tournaments. Prize payouts are lack luster. Not to mention, CF doesn't really have many investors, assuming. Unlike games like LoL. $5Million prize pool? That was such a huge risk, but a PHENOMENAL result. They're not the #1 Online game for no reason. They're a marketing gem for ANY sponsor or investor. THAT is why they can afford to have payouts like so. The market is in their pocket at the moment. As with app games like Asphalt 6. Its online community is one of the largest in activity right now. People have more time for the phones/iPods, apposed to a console or PC. It's not worth it for anyone to payout big for things that don't return in results. CF would have to do so much more to reach that level....and in my personal opinion, I think things are far too gone to correct. They market the game alone in the North America terribly. I can't speak for other versions. -

I was thinking about most of the games in general. Mostly I have a hard time with it because I don't see games, like the ones on phones, being that big to warrant this kind of competition, but that's just me being ignorant. Everything else makes sense if I think about it. Popular and active games get a bigger portion then the rest, etc.
In any case I can't wait to see what they choose for official games.
