Vent issues...

so this isn't just a vent issue, its for every voice chat. But basically, when I get on any voice chat, all the sound from the chat program i hear in my headphones. But all the sound from everything else is comming off me external laptop speakers. Anybody gotta solution?

Just to add to this, before I ever had this problem, i had a bigger issue. When I was logged into any voice chat program, I couldnt get the surround sound in my headphones. I have turtle beach x11's, which arent surround sound but theyre stereo. Anyways, it was enough for me to not be able to tell where footsteps were comming from. Anything you guys got helps.

Set the headset as the default output device under your control panel if you want the headset to output all the sound from your computer. If you want your laptop speakers to be the default then set them.

Also, you should make sure the headset is set as the default input device aswell.

Edit: As for the sound, you should make sure to install the driver. If the driver is installed properly then it is a problem with a setting in your main sound properties... if it effects everything. If it is just CrossFire, then it is a problem with the sound settings in CF.

what driver are you talking about exactly? I have no clue what im doin

sounds like a problem with your audio control panel settings. stereo mix or something
