Join Date??

I'm not sure if this is in the correct section but i just looked on my account and it says join date 01/01/1970. that is almost 20 years before i was born and about 35 before cf was even made so why does it say this.
I also checked on other people's stats and everyone else's says the same.
Just wondering...
