base rushing

this is just a thread to see what people think of base ******.. i myself cant stand it, its just a bunch of unskilled losers tryin to get kills that otherwise they wouldnt be able to get. i can kinda understand low rankers doing it, as they noobs an dont know any better, or cant do any better.

an example of this, last night i was TD, before i even loaded 3 members of the same kin had surrounded the spawn point an was just picking us of as soon as wed loaded, i was the highest ranked in my team the other 2 were privates so they were easy prey, luckily im not and manged to get the ace for the whole game, as soon as i started fighting back they had no idea what to, they even began campin with awms but they were no match against some one who was fed up with lamers. ofc my team lost, but they (the ****rs) had a masive dent in there ego, which resulted in them leaving the game.

point is base ****** is the last resort of the unskilled and lame, and skill will always win against underhand tactics, including dirty hackers and glitchers.

It's not called "base *****". It's called a "spawn trap", or a "spawn hold".

Works well in 2v2's.

Works even better in pubs vs bad kids. Egypt / mexico are the easiest to do it on. Ship also, if you have a headset.

Anyway, you have a spawn shield. Rush out and kill them, or camp inside spawn so they have to come in.

Its a legit tactic used in competitive TDM play (lmaooooooo)


No really, in halo they play TDM and CTF. Its important to control enemy spawns.

And yes... I wish this game had competative tdm. It seems more tactical to me (having to constantly fight / battle for map control), but I guess that's just me.

Anyway, its not spawn camping that gets me, its the random nades INTO spawn. They may kill you once as you are running out, but by then you should know where they camp and kill them. The nades into spawn, however, get extremely annoying. As even the worst player in the world can throw a nade into a hallway or door.

well that's better you don't have to move from base to get some kills... thats the way i see it.

If your not good enough tokill them wit your spawn armor still on, then you need to stop and think of a new "tactic" you can use to take them out. Maybe try going through a different path, use nades in a different way, try to go for flanks...
