Peek Advantage
I tested this years back, but forgot the result. Do you get the advantage from left or right peeks in Cross Fire? You test it by having two players stare at each other straight down a wall. One player should have his head hidden and the other should have it open. You can test it at Long A in Black Widow. Let me know if you get results, and screen shots would be cool. I'll be here...

When I think peakers advantage, I always think of netcode not camera offset.
"Back at the Valve headquarters, Sal and I got into a discussion with the Valve developers about the topic of peeker's advantage. Since we all weren't on the same page, we thought we'd try an experiment. Sal and I created two separate fraps clips where Sal would peek me 20 rounds in a row and I would try to shoot him while holding a corner. We made videos in Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source. Someone at Valve would then sync the clips together and add a timer to determine, in which game, a peeker's advantage truly exists, if any. We don't have any results on that experiment yet, but I'll be sure to update you when we do." -

Yeah I read all three articles, and what they have going is more technical and precise. What I'm taking about is much more basic, and according to mickeyes its the same as CS with left eye peeks. As for who really gets the advantage, I wouldn't know. CF is a little off with all the "netcode" for movement, I really don't know much about it all.left peeks
Thanks. -
Its both left and right.. If you stand still in this game, and you're up against a player like Mav or Jaime coming out from a corner you're most likely going to die..
I mean if someone like Jkeith2k comes out from a corner, He wont even be able to hit you, HE SUCKS. -

I mean if erick would stop wearing armor every scrim maybe someone could peek and kill him. Erick wears armor every single scrim.... -

Only had armor for 7 days from missions, Of course i used it
Yet it runs out, And i still frag over you? Weird -
yeah, what a brilliant test. put the left eye @ a wide angle and have the right eye shoulder peek.
fact is, i was just kidding when i said left peeks, it's been said for a very long time that it's right eye that has the advantage. but after looking at those embarrassing screenshots, i decided to go into the server and do a "test" myself.

Ahhhh much better. -

It's really not, there's so many angles and distances in this game, I wouldn't be surprised if they all gave different results. Truthfully, I don't care if either eye have an advantage, this game has so many other things going on that affect the gameplay so much more. -
I'll do tests myself, these screen shots and posts have confused me. Thanks for the info, and yes this game has more going on in regards movement, netcode, viewing angles, etc. This hasn't interested much people up until now, and I doubt anyone will ever care much.
Edit: Anyway mick has the closest type of test to what I was talking about, so I'll work with that.
Edit: Straight up against the wall also ruins the vision to see the guy on ramp. -
Yep, we went over that also, except we had different results. When I was @ long a and started to move backwards towards pit/barracks, he said it was almost like I was going invisible. But when I told him to do the same, I could still see him, just looked like he was further away.
Another thing, I wish he was positioned a little further left, so he could see the flat part of the wall. I think that would give the left eye even more of an advantage.
