OK i give up ...
So i know about the game not workin with windows 7 x86 so i decide to upgrade from the rc1 to windows 7 64bit.
But i still can't get the game to work. I have installed the latest nvidia drivers package for my card and directx (i'm not sure if it's needed) but when the game gets to the point to add your name and password i can't because the blue circle (egg timer) is spinning and if i click anywhere the game just shuts down.
I Have read it should work fine on 64bit windows 7 but it's not here. Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

Have a look round the technical forum daniel and you'll see all the people with 32 bit windows 7 making threads.
I tried crossfire when i was running windows 7 rc1 32 bit and got the 64bit version because i was bored of swapping to my xp partition every time i wanted a game. lol -

Heres what you can try:
Check, if you got the latest Windows Updates installed.
Start the game as Administrator.
Add a Exception into your Antivirus program for the following files: crossfire.exe, gameguard.des and gameguard.mon
Check your firewall if the above named applications got full access to the Internet. -
Yeah i CAN confirm windows 7 64bit works great.
If anyone has any problems with it hanging on load up (NO bsod with 64bit) Then check your antivirus because i found both avg and avast have active web components that seem to stop it working.
Nod32 is working fine with it tho.
