Error message

A friend keeps having trouble at start up. It comes up with start up page and game guard loads then an message comes up Error in InitRenderer (). shutting down. Then shuts down. What can she do or what does this mean? Please any help would be very appreciated.

i re-dowloaded it 3 times but it keeps no working..
