New to competitive gaming.
Hello everybody, now i know i'm probably gonna get ripped on for this but i was wondering if anyone could show me the ways of competitive gaming. It's my first time ever being interested in this sort of thing so i could use some help!

Thanks! But like i said i don't know the first thing about the competitive scene and that includes getting into/making teams.
I don't know if I'm leading you to the right way, but you should try to play in echo server channel 8. Eventually, someone will notice your "SKILL" and pick you up. -

Would not recommend ONLY doing this. Make an LFT post in the competitive forums describing what you feel your strengths are at CF. Be sure to actively seek out a group of people to play with, any time you see someone picking up, ask them about giving you a shot. -
Well in general obviously there are little and rude/think they're the best children but in this so called crossfire "Competitive Community" there are plenty more beyond your imagination. What is your goal ? To become better or to become the best ? Like Kaz suggested playing in Echo 8 starting off will allow you to play with some players you may have seen on the forums or the people "who take this game more seriously". Post a LFT thread after you think you are qualified with some background information such as location and what you plan to do with this game. Just don't turn into one of those people who go around telling people they suck especially because you may " have a higher score " cause this is a TEAM game.

practice your aim in tds/ffa and play in pugs(not sure if any are still running nowadays). once you feel like you can hold your own within these pugs go to echo 8 and present yourself. if you don't get picked up from the pugs/echo 8 and you feel like you fit in terms of skill then ask for a tryout or something. and as isnipefast said... don't become one of those raging preteens because there are quite a few that lurk in echo 8 pubs/pugs

what he said, besides you can probably always get into a pug nowadays since people rarely do them anymoar >.> or just become a captain and pick players, instead of waiting to be picked. -

Well, what i did was start pubbing in e8, and then i joined a friends team when i thought i was good enough.
For you, if you dont have any e8 friends, make a thread named LFT and include in the thread:
Age
Main gun
Vent/mumble/ts3
How good your shot is
If you are willing to sub
And other things
