I didn't say scan the folder, I mean adding the folder to norton's exception's list. I'll look at my norton to see how to properly add a folder to the list.

well you have the screenshot right? And you pasted it into Paint or whatever similar program and saved it somewhere right?
Then go to an upload site like imageshack.us or tinypic.com and upload from the "Browse" button.
Make sure the resize is set to no more than the 15-inch option. You can also do the message board option if its your fancy.
Copy and paste the Forum link into a new post.
Done.
TOO MUCH WORK and il do the norton thing again, im about ready to give up, i really like this game -
Are you sure you are having no background programs interfering with the game? Like a firewall or such? IObit male ware finder was proved to cause these hacktools to pop up more often. It's actually made to prevent anyone using any kind of hacks to interfere with the game. Just make sure you have no programs running while your playing. Even things like Xfire and fraps can cause it, just unlikely. I hope this helped you. Be sure to search for other solutions.

From the Norton Homepage, click on settings
From there, look in Computer settings for Antivirus and SONAR exclusions
You're going to have to do 2 different exclusions, so lets start with Items to Exclude from Scans.
Click Add, then look for the Z8Games folder [Default Pathway is C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8Games.]
The (x86) is for 64-bit OS.
Then click OK, then OK again.
Now do it again for the Auto-Protect and SONAR Detection
Now back in the Settings window, click Apply then Ok

@MOD9 dude i think i have a differnt version of norton then u cuase i cant find it. and im under computer settings. no sonar and anti virus tab anywere all i see is sonar advanced protection system but theres no configure. *sigh* im gona ask my some what geekish freind to dl the files and then il just transfer them onto my pc via flash drive and see if were im downloading it from is the problem, i downloaded it from the z8 download page, and i clicked mirror 1 under west coast.

hey the same thing happened to me. I dont hack and i got a "hack tool has been detected (1)(0:4:0:0)" yesterday. and since then i cant even get cf started. Ive reinstalled CF and it would work for a few minutes before i would get teh same thing. I scanned my comp and got rid of a few viruses that i thought were the problem but its not. As for the whole norton thing, there is no configure next to the sonar but there is the configure to teh scan exclusions. Still CF doesnt run. any hints?
