Discussion // Why the EU, and NA scene is depleting in health D:
Think of the scene like a bar chart of ages
13 -14 years old: 10% of the community
15 - 18 years old: 60% of the community
18 - Onwards: 20% of the community
The reason ive displayed this is because, when most people progress from 'age group 2,' to 'age group 3' they leave this game; due to exams, girlfriends, life whatever the reason people mature around these times. Only a small percentage of people actually carry on playing, say half of the previous 15 - 18 years will carry on.
This means that the population of the competitive town is reducing. However how do we stop a town where the birth rate is lower than the death rate? :O Simples, theres a ton of people in pub teams who actually have a decent aim, but not so good a gamesense or knowlage of rules etc..
If people made an effort to bring new players into teams; im sure the scene would revive. Also, people dont show respect to oneanother, meaning when a team dies (NA mostly, 2 week teams); people dont know many other teams to go to.

3 out of the 4 top teams at wcg were from NA/EU.
This thread would of worked a few weeks ago...
Nice try though. -
Two week team process
Team breaks up---->two week team players are looking for team---->No one wants to pick up sh1tty unstable two week team players
>Two week team players get together
>They come up with either a three letter team name or a team name that's an adjective e.g deodorant or RAGE` or some stupid sh1t like that---->They play for the first week everything seems fine they beat a couple of other two week teams
>In the second week usually one or two of the 8 man roster has already left---> They get destroyed by a slightly above average team--->They rage in vent followed by 3 or 4 of them leaving the team
>The team breaks up---->two week team players are looking for team---->No one wants to pick up sh1tty unstable two week team players

what? are u serious
Yeah, i know about 5 people maybe more who are quitting CF for CS GO. The gameplay looks amazing plus its a new game, its not like CS 1.6 if you tried to play competitively in that game it would take you a while to reach a decent level. -

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
no.
All of the good players from source and 1.6 that go to CS GO are going to stomp on your face in CS GO. Mostly source though. I hate to tell you, but no one that goes over from Crossfire is going to have an "easy" time getting to a decent level. -

CS GO is awful. It's actually so much shitter than Source it's unbelievable. Everybody who played Source or 1.6 is automatically also better at the game, no matter what...
And the only reason there's so many two week teams is because people are so mentally unstable they let a team die if they get beaten by a more experienced good team. Stop being such *****es and stick with your team, you know who you are.Good teams would pick up bad players if the bad players didn't think they were good.
Exactly. -

Two week team players are annoying unstable and also possess an ego that they surely do not deserve. -

This this this ^
Anyone who's already touched the GO beta will tell you, the Source and 1.6 players that are already in there right now out-match anything you'll find in this game.
