M4 vs. Ak
So, I just read GodsGunman's guide to all the weapons. It turns out, both the AK and the M4 take three shots to the chest to kill at all ranges. If this is the case, is there now any reason to use the AK? The M4 has far lower kick and it settles down much more quickly. If I'm right about this damage stat, I'd have a hard time ever justifying using the AK over the M4.
If I'm not right, where did I go wrong? If I am right, why does it seem that so many people are still using the AK? Should the AK be buffed since it is essentially pointless? Or should the M4 be nerfed?
Discuss.

well ak is more accurate in single shot over long range. although they are both 3 shot kill, it is only to the chest. ak does more damge than m4 and take less shots when shooting at legs and hands.
u should try and look for threads about this. there are probably more info -
Use the Search function next time. this thread has been created so many times, even more than the deag vs conda threads.
To answer your question, your not going to hit someone in the chest 3 times in accurate succession.
The reason why the AK is used is because it has higher DPS. -

yes, but if enemy have 37 hp? you need two chest shoots from m4 and one from ak! :> -
ok, ill tell you exactly what it is, ive played wogl p and,ESL p and ive used both the rifles if you want good control at long range and medium range or accurate at getting HEADSHOTS then the m4 is right choice, but with the AK its much better for a 4-5k spraydown with the cost of less accuracy in , the m4 is faster the ak by a little with the cost of reduced damage and wallbang penetration, i would prefer the m4 in a more passively played good angle, and an ak if i was in a tight spraydown area or a rusher because of the quick burst kill. The m4 takes more skill at long in taps the aks accuracy jumps

Or the fact it's actually fun and a slight challenge to use unlike the m4.
You dumb bro?
Fun is subjective and so is a challenge.
I find AK easy to use close/mid range. It has the tightest spray pattern I've seen on a rifle and it's easy to control.
Get on my level scrub. -

I just can't long range with it. I'll go for a headshot, make one, then find myself being hoarded by enemies. -
For the Better overall performance in competitive scenarios, where people almost always will be damaged or such, and where the time to kill has to be extremely quick, the AK-47 covers everything and will give you extreme performance once you've mastered the recoil and SP.
The m4 has a nice settling time and good accuracy, tough imo, it's lack of 3 shot kills overall makes it les desireable than the ak-47, altough it compensates it with RoF. But RoF signifies you'll have to realod more oftenly, leaving you exposed, makes the recoil come quicker and makes the slightest slip on the tap on the mouse cause a 2 bullet burst that may cause you to miss the target and lose the firefight.
both guns are good, tough i prefer the ak-47 for it's reload and quick killing time overall. -

M4 > AK for long range unless you are a god of 1 shotting.
If not come try me I'll slam you.
Also if you learn to headshot, 3 shot body kill vs 4 shot doesn't matter as much. Stop aiming for the body. -

The thing is, you'll never have a 100% headshot accuracy, no matter what.
also, the m4a1+helmet+great distances = not 1 hit kill, it doesn't covers all possible scenarios, tough yes, it does offer you GREAT manouverability and accuracy, but as you said, if aiming for the head, the AK can also do the same job, except you will have to have greater accuracy with your hands.
Though, as i said, it's a personal preference, and it fits my style of playing the game more, since i dislike high RoF guns in general (the only exceptions are the k1A and the G36K), so i get versatility over accuracy focus.
