Hard decision.

So, I went with the M4A1 at the start, and I do personally love the gun.. but now I'm trying to decide if I should main the XM-8 instead, once I get my hands on it that is.

On a side note, should I get the Anaconda, or should I get the Desert Eagle?

ALL you play is Alaska.

Grab an XM8, and grab a deagle, or a conda. Experiment. Try it close-range, try it long-range.

I personally prefer the m4 to any other rifle, and the deagle to any other gun. Period.

i pick the m4a1 over the xm-8 but thats just me, like luck said just try it out in alaska.

btw i think he means by not the same with EM and S&D that you dont versus other guns like Scar Light and stuff

No, there are just more places to aim and get flanked/camped.


Typically, a good player can use any gun at anytime. I would worry less of what gun you want to use and more about how to shoot using any gun. Snipers and a few guns are exceptions. Any rifle pretty much.

As for buying the xm8, its a decent gun and it has full damage wall bangs. For 50k and the fact that it isn't that great, I wouldn't buy it unless you plan on paying for ZP to buy more GP.

Ah the xm8.

If I had the patience for it, I'd go at it. The recoil goes straight up for the first 5 shots and if you're standing still you can put 5 shots on the dot. It has full damage through walls and it has a scope. If the dot on the scope was a little smaller I'd say go for it, but its all up to you.

XM8 was my main gun for the longest time, before I changed to AK silver.
TO be honest, if you play mid to long range xm8 is probably the best gun in the game for mid-advanced players, because like bruce said it has a rather predictable recoil and outshoots other popular guns like scar lite and m4 long range.
Close range it's not bad but if someone has an ak or an m4 and they spray you you're pretty much dead. AK pretty much outclasses it in every category but you gotta be able to control that spray ^.^

The wall bang owns and that's one of the main reasons to use this wep if you're a strategic player! Nothing funnier than predicting where someone will be coming through and HS them through a wall! Good times to be had on desert storm shooting the mid through the wooden windows as GR!

xm8 is a amazing gun. and i'd go with the deagle. (xm8 is my joint main)

get some u know who have these weapons to go in an s&d match with u.. and swap guns with them and try them out.. but the xm8 is a grate gun & good for getting h.s...

personally i like both guns but if you want a more consistent gun I'd say go with the m4a1 but if you're willing to learn a weird recoiling gun then xm8.

i have an xm8 on my main, its an awesome gun. But on my bad days i tend to use m4

as for ur pistol both are great that have their strong points but i like to R&G with anaconda and stay still strafing with deagle
