if your reffering to when you open cf a white window pops up just log off your computer user or restart your comp its a registry error from either being black screened , or dc'ed from crossfire which requires you to reset the overlapped game version by restarting your comp or simply logging off then back in to your computer user account :]

lol theirs not much you can do besides fix your registry i can suggest ccleaner its a good program it cleans your cache and replaces your missing registry files :]]
but i do have the same problem every now and then so i feel your pain its just a simple game overlap running multiple versions of a game software causes this to happen thats why they provide the nprotect software download when it happens to you :]
