Super Old Replays

Anyone have a super old replay? Of decent people, back in 2009. I want to watch it to see how the old pros played. I started in early 2009 also, but I didn't know what a replay was back then so..

They played pretty much like how good teams play today.

They were just less preoccupied with talking, and they just enjoyed playing.





Moved to competitive with the expectation of maturity in responses.
Most of the now competitive players weren't around in 2009, and I'm not sure the replays work, but there might be someone.

Hmm, I was wondering how people sniped, if they quick switched and stuff. And I was also wondering if they switched weapons a lot like we do right now xD

Most updates completely **** on replays. So no, old replays are dead.

I had a few but when I was in that clan called [P]rodigy.. and some when I was in FuzzButt Clan.. but my computer crashed.. I lost everything..

Sigh, it's only been 2 years, but I feels way longer. Unlike real life, CF time doesn't fly by at all..

around 15-20 of mines don't work. not sure if it's because of my crappy comp or if they're too old. one of my replays from 2 years ago still works

Old replays not working is probably, just guessing here, because the map has been changed in some way since.

I always thought it was the replay system itself, its changed a bunch since back then... lots of little changes to it before the major one according to older players caused a lot of issues with the replays

naa it must be certain maps, since some replays still work.

Well, (hopefully) the replay system just loads the data.
Changes to the system such as fast forwarding or appearance in the replay system shouldn't change the fact that the data can load.

But if it tries to load an old map, its trying to load data and showing it to the user in a way that it can't (walls moved, walls added), since it doesn't remember the old maps, it just knows the new ones.


Oh well, I don't really know, just how I hope it is.

the ones on ceyhan don't work as the open beta ceyhan was actually built above the ceyhan we currently have

Many people did not quickscope back in 2009, only the really good players. But now everybody does. Im sure people quickswitched during 09 as well.

Quickswitching/quickscoping is usually a horrible habit that gets people killed and/or makes them miss frags.

Most "good" (read: ****ty new "competitive") players in this game have no idea how to utilize game mechanics to their advantage.

I might have some on my main pc i'll try and send em to you oh and btw no there wasent any of this no one use to quickscope and only a couple of people would switch there weapons.Back then it was all fun people would get on the game to have a good time not too be the best or too troll but too have fun no one cared if you had a sl or a spop or anything like that. :'( i miss the good old times.

there's always been quickswitching.

switching weapons for no reason is dumb and a terrible habit. the other team can hear that from so far away.
