What headset?
I'm planning on putting a headset on my Christmas list but the refurb x11's I was going to put on were sold out, and for some reason they are 80 on amazon. Now I need a new headset to ask for.
So what would be a decent headset to ask for that's under $50? Preferably $30-40 though, doesn't matter if it's recertified or refurbished.

get these if under $50, no other choice comes close for a "gaming" headset -
Does anybody have anything to say about the Fatal1ty? Right now I'm looking at the plantronics ones, steelseries 4h, and Tt eSports Shock. Also, would a usb one be better than an analog?

cant go wrong with plan777 -
Get the original fatalitys. I've used many "gaming" headsets but I keep coming back to those for anything under 50$

You can probably find them elsewhere for cheaper. -
I've narrowed it down to three
Fatal1ty MKII http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Labs-HS-980-Fatal1ty-Professional/dp/B002BH3JDA
Steelseries 4H http://www.amazon.com/Global-Marketing-Partners-61003SS-SteelSeries/dp/B000V07NJ0
and the Plantronics 777 http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-GameCom777-Gaming-Headset/dp/B003NVMDYY/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1322087578&sr=1-1
I'll probably go with either the Fatal1ty since it's cheaper and a really great deal, or the 777 cause it has surround sound and such even though it's $10 more and I wouldn't really need it for CF. Only considering the 4H cause of the steelseries name though if I had more I would definitely go 7h/siberia v2.
So a cheaper Fatal1ty MKII or a bit more for the surround sound 777... -
If your sound card can control the master treble and bass then get a good music headset, and just lower bass and higher treble when gaming so you can hear more profound and distant sounds. I got a Fatal1ty at Home and a Astro A40s at Uni, and whenever I go Home I find that using that creative headset is the most painful experience due to the sound in games being too messy, bassy and just unclear comparing to how a good gaming headset sets its sound profiles to be.
