since intelligent conversation is the right context of both words.

I just made it through the other thread. Let's not do this again. In regards to your post however, both are correct and can be used in either case. Making a thread to try and redeem yourself or something? Wrong decision. I can have an intellectual conversation with someone over Xfire about the intelligent discussion you just had with everyone in that other thread. Intellectual is also an adjective, just as intelligent is an adjective. Both can be used to describe a conversation that you may or may not have. It's called learning from your mistakes, not repeating them. Let's try to keep the peace today shall we?
