  • You can talk however you want, as long as it's following Z8Games rules. I don't even mind a little smack talk, but the problem is that no one can keep it simple and related to the game. You all have to resort to insulting people's looks, friends, job, school, etc. which have absolutely nothing to do with someone's reputation or skill as a gamer. This is a gaming forum. Keep the content and discussion gaming related. Where does resorting to high school type insults get you? No where.
  • Also, remember, there's a very fine line between having a heated discussion [which is sometimes encouraged under the right conditions / mindset] and having an all out bash-party.

Let's use an old example. Manbearpig was an expression of speech, but it 1) wasn't related to the game, 2) had nothing to do with the discussion, and 3) became really annoying after a time. That's why these posts were deleted, not because we didn't like people posting images of an altered monster.

Freedom of speech on the internet is generally limited by the rules set by the provider of the service. They can deny service if the moment calls for it. You breaking the forum rules goes against the terms you agree to when you register an account. That agreement is legally binding, and legal action could be taken, because you agree to all of those ideas. It's not something to skim by.

At the end of the day, you can't post anything you want. Freedom is limited in all cases. In Canada, you have freedom of expression, but it doesn't mean you can run around nude all day [public nudity is legally binding].
